Wow is just one hot mess right now.Everything is for sale, and since there are tokens Blizzard is happy with it.They don't care about WoW anymore, just one big Cow to milk as much as possible.
I mean, Blizzard could just hire one person that could log on in Netherstorm outside The Eye dungeons/raids there and mass ban all the bots there. No need to investigate, you can clearly see what characters are bots and who isn't. This wouldn't fix the problem, but it's something that is so easy to do yet Blizzard doesn't. It's clear they don't care when all it takes is one person to jump from realm to realm and ban these people. Especially now that so many people have lost their jobs to corona, I'm sure there are plenty of people that would take a job like this over having no job at all.
nothing you said makes sense.
Honest opinion: Nobody cares. We'll start caring when Actiblizz splits from NetEase, which will NEVER happen.
I'm sick of seeing the trade chat condensed with people advertising runs for mythic content so players can quick jump through raids without any work on their part. But, China has it much worse, and we've known this since the beginning of MMORPGs. We can spout we need Blizzard to do something, but they won't. It keeps people playing their game. Those multiboxers pay their subscription, Blizzard gets their money either way. Blizzard is a corporation, plain and simple.
If you read the article then you would have read this: " While China is one of the biggest gaming markets in the world, it's very important to remember that international corporations such as Blizzard are required by law to use a local business partner, so WoW is not managed by Blizzard Entertainment the way it is in the NA/EU. Their current partner, NetEase, has virtually full control of operations in that part of the world, including public communication over platforms such as Weibo, despite using the "Blizzard" or "World of Warcraft" name."Maybe it is time for Blizzard/Activision to rethink their contract with NetEase and put in harsher penalties for the company?

Its not to bad in the EU on some servers. On the dead servers you get a little trade chat spam about 2 spams to 1 real post sometimes, on the big ones its relentless probably closer to 30 messages before you see a legit trade/interaction that is not a boost advert. Group finder is rammed with WTS/Boost/Streamer "giving away" runs. IMO they should just ban boosting all together and clean it all up. Plenty of bots (maybe multiboxers also) in the EU. See groups of 5+ all the time on druids going node to node. The pattern they fly and time spent makes me think they are more than likely bots not multiboxers but hard to tell 100%. I put myself on follow and loot the nodes with them, they seem to have the routes down lol. Don't know why people moan, just do as i do, follow them and profit! Real money for boosts go on all the time also. Allot of the "Boosting community's" (seems like we have 1000s now) will sell for gold on the side, individuals almost always will. They might well say they don't. But just msg one and see for yourself how true that is! The boosting community discords are a total &*!@show if you have ever been in one. So many people join them thinking they will be getting loads of gold boosting 10s and 15's or raid boosts. The reality is they will spend allot of time waiting for a run to show up and then trying to be the first to respond and snipe it from the 1000's of other guys trying to do the same thing. They might not even be able to boost with there friends due to things such as armour type stacking. It's got out of hand, this boosting stuff imo is worse than the Wrath days when you had bots flying/teleporting into Org/Dala/SW and killing selves on the floor spelling out the website name you can buy items/boosts or gold from.If they must offer boosts, give them an option in the finder to post runs on and allow them only to use that option, any post in trade or other sections of the group finder tool = silence from using chat/tool and further punishments if they keep on doing it.If this is allowed to carry on with boosting sales, it will happen here also. As these boost community's are getting filled up, people are forming new ones so they can boost with friends or get more gold with less competition. You have different community's now all competing with each other in even more extreme ways. It won't be long till seeing /s and /w and /y around every corner from a boost community is common. It's already starting to be a thing. My hope is ether blizzard ban this stuff, or you end up with a situation were so many boosting community's exist no one can make a worth while profit and it just stops (very unlikely)
A poster said in the thread that China doesn't change for companies, companies change for China.I hope the presence of WoW in China dies. Maybe then Blizzard will save themselves a future RP disaster by no longer having to cater to that market.
The problem isn't blizzard, or China, or bots, or multi boxers. The problem is all the lazy idiots who created this market. If no one was buying these runs there would be no one to advertise them. The players are the problem.Blizzard could do more by scrubbing chat of any non blizzard website and insta muting anyone that tries. They could limit the gold that can be transferred between players on different accounts. They could make Addons go through an official source to have its code scrubbed for automation like an app store. All of which would help but at the end of the day until people quit making it a profitable business it will continue.
Everyone is blaming Blizz but no one would be selling anything if people weren't willing to pay for it.
