Where that info was before i skiped it at all my alts .
Well that is why you test it first... Sorry to hear that
Why are we still f ing around with renown in the fhirst place. Just let it go blizzard... and do the same with the guy who come up with this $%^&*ic idea. Its already too late but atlest its not oil on the fire.
woulda been nice to know before i just skipped it on my two 50 renown alts...ffs
you get 15 renown not 13...
What's even worse is that you miss out on 2500 enlighten rep + 3 pieces of ilvl233 loot by skipping the intro, in addition to the 15 renown levels that is.Quite a bad decision by not displaying this in game or before launch.
I am wondering what happened to multiple renown points for doing cov campaigns. Used to be two point last I did it, now its one per chapter.
It makes sense you don't get the rewards if you skip the content. Stop crying already! You get renown for running a lap around Oribos these days. Renown is a non-issue; you get it from everything! It's one of the least grindy things in this game even compared to all expansions. It makes sense to cry about things being too grindy or boring, but renown is not it, and skipping short intro quests is not it.
I took a fresh level 60 into ZM with an ilevel of 130 and from doing the three Callings, killing the two world bosses (Maw and Bastion) and going as far as we can in the ZM quest line, I ended up with 227 ilevel and Renown 58.Edit: this includes the Renown I got from doing Threads of Fate. Don't want to imply I got it from those three things alone.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this means that a character who used the auto-40 token, leveled through Threads of Fate, completed all of the bonus objectives, and then did the Zereth Mortis intro could easily be Renown 80 without much extra work, no? Like, at least 75 by the end of the process.
This info would of been nice 5 days ago >.< But thank you for the info I do have 1 alt left that can take advantage of some free renown!
At this point I frankly don't give a damn about renown for my plethora of alts....or much else in the Systemslands game we now are "immersed" in. I have played since Vanilla (early 2005) and never taken a break from WoW, but I am just TIRED of all the hoops to jump through on EVERY character, and redundant systems put in place to make it all as much of a grind as possible--repeated for each and every character. I DO NOT have a problem with doing the systems/story/etc on the first character, but come on, if I have multiple alts (and I do)... it is simply not something I want to do over and over again. If Blizzard wants to keep players engaged in and involved in the game, it isn't being done well at this point. Endless grinds of the same old crap for each character isn't producing "player involvement"... and I am spending LESS time playing WoW now since the frustration and sheer drudgery of it all means I'm pretty much focussed just on my main and everyone else is rotting. I seriously don't think that's the intended outcome, but it is where I (and I suspect more than a few others) have gotten to.
imagine having to be told that if you skip the quests, you won't be rewarded for the quests. I don't know for sure, since I haven't re-subbed just yet, but I bet when you skip them, you even have to click on a box warning you that you won't be rewarded for the quests you skipped.
