I can think of one good reason to have Calia brought back, REPLACING the dark lady as leader of the forsaken
what's up with the candle on Valeera's head? lol taking a page out the Kobold's playbook?
Valeera got a hair boner like Lor'themar
When is Kalecgos gonna get some love? Hes in practically every xpac
Brightwing was already ingame in Dreamgrove, not new to 8.2.5Brightwing
...heh! 31337.
I can dream with playable lightforged undeads, right?
These all look fantastic! Not sure why Valeera would have a ponytail sticking out of her hood, though...If the Lightforged Forsaken look something like that instead of the fugly Forsaken models, I'll definitely have one.
Wrathion had somewhat a human body back in MoP, this model is clearly an elfy one, but with dark skin, great combo, as we're all reading from the girls out there :D
Finally...Wrathion ditched that distracting turban...It'll be interesting to see what role he plays in the story...and if he'll get to meet Ebonhorn. While we're not entirely sure that Wrathion is Deathwing's, we know for a fact that Ebonhorn is and is much, much older than Wrathion. It'll be neat to see either the two brothers (or whatever kin they are) interact being the only two black dragons that are uncorrupted.Valeera looks like $%^&, though...can't get over that hair...
Oh hey look. Calia and Valeera actually don't look boring. So how long till we see angry articles about it online?
Fantastic.
Im glad to see people appreciating the game design regardless of the bumpy road bfa storylines and the asserite system gave sour taste to many.
People on the street are asking what hair conditioner is Valeera using.
New Wrathion model is giving me Gilmore (Critical Role) vibes. Totally digging it!
Calia's model is interesting because it follows the current Allied Race rules (outside of KT / Zandalari). Relatively simple reskin of the human rigging.Anybody believing she is about to replace Sylvanas is out of their mind for a number of reason, mostly all flowing from the same mistake: being ignorant of the narrative to this point. One of the book's primary purposes was to show the Alliance softening to the idea of the undead in their ranks and viewing them, once again, as their family. Even war hardened Genn, who would have every reason to remain full of hate, softens. Then, at the height of the action, Calia herself attempted to have the Forsaken who wanted to return to the Alliance do just that. Though she stated neutrality (so get ready for that rep grind), Calia's actions were anything but.Throw in Calia's presence so far in BFA: name drops in Alliance specific cutscenes and dialogues involving Jaina and Anduin, Jaina and Derek. No buildup or mention on the Horde. If her kind is to be an allied race, it's also worth noting the absurdity of people thinking the Horde will be getting the default human rigging. Talk about Nathanos's special situation all you want, from a design standpoint that would be a seriously bad mistake. It's looking more and more like the Night Elf / Blood Elf trade that happened with the Nightborne / Void Elves was a one of thing, and they are more committed to keeping the silhouette faction identity than we first thought. Plus, anecdotally, it seems most Horde / Forsaken players are vehemently against her, because she would represent the Alliance-ification / Light-ification of their race and RP.On the other hand, if she is to lead an allied race for the Alliance, it would be curing one of the game's original sins: the closest thing to the Kingdom of Lordaeron being in the HORDE. If Darn had to burn and the Night Elves had to get the absolute crap beat out of them to restore order on that front, it's a trade well worth it. You can't have a hereditary human monarch sitting on the throne, ruling her people in the Horde. At that point just dissolve the factions because any trace of faction identity would be dead. She and Lordaeron would make for an exciting, long wished for and long overdue addition to the Alliance, something the Alliance really hasn't had in a very long time. It would also continue this (I would argue) very cool trend of taking something on its face that would be aesthically boring (an Alliance of human kingdoms) and giving them visual distinction through narrative developments. Stormwind being "normal," Gilneas being worgen, Lordaeron being undead, and Kul Tiras being... well, big for some reason (admittedly this one is the weakest). Then you install something like Lillian or Nathanos on the backend to lead the remainder of the Forsaken who continue to feel a fundamental disconnect between themselves and humanity, and remain with the Horde. Narratively, IMO, it flows well, and it has been set up since BTS.
Bold of you to assume Anduin shouldn't smite Wrathion on sight for what he did to him during the events of Warcrimes. He ultimately betrayed his trust and hope they don't forget it and sweep it under the rug.
