All the Class and Artifact Trait Changes in Patch 7.2.5
2017/05/12 at 10:36 AM
Patch 7.2.5 has more class changes than Patch 7.2, so we've started up our usual compilation of overall class changes from the PTR - talents, abilities, set bonuses, artifact traits. Every week Wowhead posts a list of the datamined changes from each 7.2.5 PTR update, but some players would also like to see the changes from the past few months to get an overall sense of how the classes evolve, as well as blue posts in one place.\r
We've gone through the spell data from every update and organized all the changes by spec, noting overall changes to a spell if it was modified several weeks in a row. Not interested in a particular class? Just click the toggle button to hide that class and jump to the next section.\r
Notes for each specific build can be found here: 24076, 24026, 23993, 23958, 23910.

7.1.5 PTR: Compilation of All Class Changes From All Builds
2016/12/18 at 6:45 PM
The 7.1.5 PTR has been active for many weeks now, and a popular request we've gotten at Wowhead is to present an overview of the class changes from Patch 7.1 to 7.1.5, aka "unofficial patch notes." Every week Wowhead posts a list of the datamined changes from each 7.1.5 PTR update, but some players would also like to see the changes from the past few months to get an overall sense of how the classes evolve.\r
We've gone through the spell data from the last five builds and organized all the changes by spec, noting multiple changes to a spell if it was modified several weeks in a row. Not interested in a particular class? Just click the toggle button to hide that class and jump to the next section.\r
Notes for each specific build can be found here: 23244, 23194, 23178, 23109, 23038. On each spell page there is a spell changelog tab; this allows you to see the complete history for a spell.\r
We've also made a similar post compiling all of the new and changed legendary armor in 7.1.5.
Legion Respec Costs Removed; Talent Changing Restricted
2016/05/16 at 11:06 PM
While it's been established for a while that Legion will remove dual-speccing and instead let players swap between all specs, more changes were revealed today:\r
Respec costs are removed; players can just swap between specializations freely.\r
Changing talents is now more restricted. Without any reagent cost in the Legion beta, it was easy for players to swap talents so frequently (i.e. every pull in a dungeon) to where talents could simply feel like extra UI navigation instead of a meaningful choice.\r
Talents will now be restricted outside of safe "Rested" areas, and scribes can craft a Tome allowing nearby players to retalent freely for a period of time.\r
Edit: a followup post was made:\r
The Inscription-created item would be something anyone could drop, not restricted by profession.\r
The materials required to make the items would be along the lines of a group consumable, not lesser mats for individual consumables.\r
Talents are about having meaningful choices and if you could respec nonstop, it would feel like you simply had all abilities available and a lengthy spellbook.\r
