2017/07/21 at 4:45 AM
Senior Audio Director and Lead Composer Russell "Hordeland" Brower wrote a Facebook post explaining his departure from Blizzard. While he may continue to work for Blizzard as a freelancer composer, his current position has been eliminated thanks to a "sound de-centralization" initiative.\r
You've heard his music all throughout Warcraft; he composed the main themes you hear on the login screen, as well as many of the notable zone themes.

Best. Warcraft Music. Ever. - Cataclysm's Opening Theme
2010/08/15 at 5:22 PM
It's been a pretty busy weekend in the Cataclysm Beta, with the addition of the Guild Vendor and a number of interesting new UI changes. However, there's one aspect in the development of the new World of Warcraft expansion that's been coming along wonderfully and isn't getting quite the attention it deserves - until now! Many Cataclysm zones feature entirely new or completely changed music which I'd love to share with you guys - if you'd be interested?\r
In any case, I present to you the most amazing World of Warcraft musical piece ever (well, except for Power of the Horde - but I'm just biased): The Shattering, the 12-minute long epic currently gracing the Cataclysm Beta's login screen. Enjoy!\r
Thanks Fewyn for uploading, I'd have gotten this up sooner for you guys but I'm terrible at making even the most simple of YouTube videos!
