Weight Scale Updates
2009/11/09 at 7:59 PM
They're even, for now...Wowhead has made a long overdue update to the weight scales!\r
We've gone through the sticky threads and pulled the best weights we could find to update our weight scale system, so the weighted searches, weighted comparisons, and recommended upgrades on the Profiler should now be showing much more realistic results.\r
There ARE a few weight scales that are still out of date though! Our Blood Death Knight scale still doesn't have a value for agility, and our Frost Tanking scale still has old numbers. We're changing the way these scales get updated so we should be much quicker to get the scores up to date\u2014but we need your help!\r

3.3 PTR Patch Notes Updated! Bug Fixes Galore!
2009/11/09 at 6:33 PM
Greetings Wowhead users! There's a new build on the PTR so you guys know what that means! Blizzard has updated their PTR Patch Notes with a plethora of bug fixes and some additional changes.\r
Nothing too amazing this build, though significant changes have been made to The Oculus, presumably to make it more PUG-friendly with the advent of the Looking for Dungeon system. Sadly, I don't see anything about Blizzard actually having made the dungeon enjoyable. Maybe that will come in a later build. Also, for those of you hungering to satiate your storage needs, a new 24-slot bag has been added to Haris Pilton's inventory. Now a Portable Hole can be yours for the low, low price of only !\r
You can view the full updates to the patch notes after the break!\r

Patch 3.3 Guide - Recent Updates
2009/11/06 at 6:00 PM
The reason for this out-of-the-blue blog are some recent updates to the Patch 3.3 Guide we released about 3 weeks ago. Several PTR builds have hit us since then, I have been updating the index page of the guide, and occasionally dropping a reply in the blog, but all of those have been somewhat subtle. So here is the official announcement of what has been updated and how it has been updated.\r
Note: We know we've been spamming you with blogs a lot lately, but this one had to be done. And better now than when Halls of Reflection, or some other major feature appears on the PTR. Blizzard has really made us work for this patch.

SapphironThe latest update to the PTR Patch Notes brings us some interesting changes.\r
One of the most important ones that people will be thinking of is the change to Naxxramas. You will no longer have to kill all the end bosses to access
's Lair! A teleportation orb has been added to the lair to allow players to travel back and forth from the main dungeon to the lair with ease now. There is also the addition of the much awaited Quest Tracking Feature.\r
You can read about all the changes after the jump.

Create YOUR Own Wowhead Title!
2009/11/05 at 1:34 PM
That's right, folks, you saw it correct! You now get a chance to design your own title to be added to our pool of randomly generated witticisms you get to see every time you load the homepage! \r
You have asked for it, and we are giving it to you. There have been several threads on the forums, all of which asked us (nicely, of course) to add new sayings to our pool. We have read them all, but until recently time was just never enough to bother with something so small.\r
Well, we are as busy as ever, but this request of yours we can fulfill! This is not a contest, and there are no rewards beyond bragging rights. But think about how cool your friends will think you are when you go to them and say "See that thing up there just after where it says "Wowhead: ..."? That's right, I gave them that idea!" You would become a superstar in matter of seconds!

Icecrown Raid Difficulty Functionality
2009/11/04 at 12:21 PM
Icecrown CitadelIn the upcoming 3.3 content patch, as some of you already know, Icecrown will be home of the updated instance difficulty setting which can be changed on a boss per boss basis. It will be able to be switched at any time during a raid without leaving and reentering the instance.\r
Some restrictions on when you cannot change it will be in place. Such as, you cannot change the difficulty in combat or during certain scripted events. To enable it you will have first have to have defeated the Lich King on normal mode, and heroic mode will not affect trash in anyway and will only change the bosses.\r
You can read more after the jump.
