Dropped by Ai-Ran the Shifting Cloud (a rare elite in Vale of Eternal Blossom)
A bit of a weird one. Gives you a 10 minute buff, when you jump it pushes you about 5 yards further through the air.
I'm sure someone will find a fun use for it.
Does not work in pvp. Error 'You are in the wrong zone'
The buff is removed when you take damage, including fall damage.

does it work in combat ? does getting hit by "anything" removes the buff ? and does it work inside raid/dungeon instances ?

Working as of 5.0.5, just got it off the rarespawn. Confirming it does remove the buff if engaged in combat.

Another good use for this item: Shadow Hopper. Makes getting to the drop site quick when he throws it in an unexpected direction.

While the buff is active, when you jump it propels you forward slightly. An interesting note of it, it won't allow you to propel off a ledge, at least not where I've tested it so far.

The push when you jump can glitch you through thin walls. I used it in Shrine of the Seven Stars on the stairway and ended up below the Mogu statue, behind the invisible walls.

If you hold your strafe key (left or right) and jump while this is active, you will notice that it turns your character, changing what is considered "forward."

I'm starting to doubt whether this item drops still or not. I have killed this guy like 20 times now and considering he's the hardest rare in pandaria (imo) plus being ganked all the time I am starting to hate this..

I can't believe no one's mentioned this, but this item allows you to move completely uninhibited by snares since the forward boost in not affected. Also, the movement generated by jumping is considerably faster than regular run speed. If you're a jump spammer in pvp, this makes you into a mobility god for 10 minutes every hour! (In Pandaria, of course.)

I want to add with the 5.2 quest (Manipulating the Saurok) that turns you into a Saurok (http://www.wowhead.com/quest=32507#comments) makes you jump high. But with this item enabled, you "super" jump, higher and farther! Makes traveling in the unmountable form easier

Currently work in Throne of Thunder, which I found quite useful during the first fight
and it also work in the new single player scenario where you have 5min to loot as much as possible.. even more useful here

Another excellent use for this item is to use it during the encounter in Siege of Niuzao Temple. Since EoB debuffs on damage I used it right before he flew to the other side of the platform and initiated the annoying wind phase making it super easy for me to get over there and finish the jerbb :D

ALSO it is EXTREMELY helpful in the water, mostly when jumping above the water.

I thought this would be useful for Troves of the Thunder King solo instance.

Helps for the floor traps but completely messes up when trying to maneuver around obstacles such as crates and fences/barriers to get to the alcoves or onto higher ground etc...

This sounds kind of lame but the best use I've discovered so far for this is getting unstuck when you fall in a little hole or ditch or between objects and you can't jump out. The little boost it gives allows you to get over the lip of holes.

It's completely awful any time you need to jump on top of a box or climb something. You just end up flopping around near the box wasting time - for example in the Trove of the Thunder King loot run. Thought it would be awesome to speed up my run :(

From an innocent vanity item, this has become one of the best tools to any situation (outside PvP) that requires moving fast. ~~As a melee DPS you'll literally laugh at Elegon when you need your stacks off.~~ Don't try this en Elegon, it seems to work backwards on his platform. Other bosses are okay though.

Watch your fellow mages, druids & rogues trying to outrun you when you're hopping behind them until you catch up.

It also is useful in large boring no-mount zones that will need you to get back to the entrance anyway. Old raids, rep-farming dungeons, etc.

Sure it has a long cooldown, but when used at the right time, you can draw the best out of this little baby.

For those of you who used this item in BGs for flag carrying.... IT HAS BEEN NERFED!..... You will still be able to use it in bgs but the jumping effects will no longer apply... Tested by Iceicebabye - Firetree

As of patch 5.2, this item seems to no longer give the little speed buff when jumping. Not sure if this is as intended, but when I use the item now, it only makes my jumps look fancy. Can someone confirm this?

Essence of the Breeze can shoot you straight up in the air when used with the Speed King (Speed King) Klaxxi Augmentation xD

Found two uses so far after finding the drop tonight. One: seems like you move faster when bunny-hopping around. If you your jumps right that is. Two: for those times when you have to move through the water. If you skim the surface and jump it's a lot faster than normal swimming.

Holding down (walk backwards) and jumping with this active will quickly turn you around (180 degrees) and then jump (much like pressing down + x in RE 4 (only comparison i can think of).

The irony of this (for me at least) is that i always wanted some kind of "quick 180 turn" button, now I'm used to the game a bit more, i don't think this item will save a lot of time (having to activate it, then press two keys in combo that are never usually used together), and that it only lasts 10 mins for an hour CD!

I just used this to bypass the cave in on timeless isle by hopping right through the rocks and picking up the hammer.

This item also allows very fast travel through water. With the buff it grants you can keep up with Evermaw by continually jumping out of the water.

The buff also comes in handy for getting away from Burning Berserkers on Timeless Isle when they have the Burning Fury buff active, which can do quite a bit of damage if you're undergeared.

This item is fun to use when you just wanna run around Pandaria. If you time it right, you can almost jump around as fast as a 100% speed ground mount.

This works when jumping from water, making it very effective when you're trying to keep up with Evermaw from the Timeless Isle.

It does not buf anything. It just makes an automatic "forward" when jumping.

I'm surprised the top comments haven't picked up this.

This is listed in the toy box gallery, but it's not a toy. It was on the PTR, and it really should be, but for some reason it's status was set to a normal item prior to the 6.0.2 patch.

There seems to be a bug with Essence of the Breeze . It's listed in the Toys Panel as a Toy yet, I've checked with so many and confirmed that the item does not have a Toy status set to it, nor did it get recognized by the Toys Panel.

I think Blizzard will eventually update this as it's clearly a toy and not a trinket.
Help raise this issue to Blizzard, to save bag space and always have the item accessible from anywhere.

This item is useful in archaeology, when light is green or yellow. It's too close for mount , too far by foot, but just perfect for Essence of the Breeze.

New Toys - Old Items Converting to Toys
I figured it's better now than later to start farming the old items that will be converted to toys in Legion. Who knows if they'll lower drop rates or how heavily they will be camped once they're added to the toybox.
I made myself a Google Sheets document to track all the toys being converted and it has the ability to mark off the item once you've found it. With the filters I can then hide any marked off toys. This has really helped me find and track the long list of items and I wanted to share it with the community. I've heavily cleaned it up for sharing purpose, so feel free to use it as you please!

Thanks to crosserver become easier farm rares in Pandaria but counting only kills from my own server, took me 9 kills to get the toy. The respawn time between kills was variable for me: 3 times was 60 minutes, the other 6 times was 90.

If you hold jump key while in water this starts to behave very strangely and you can reach over 200% movement speed which is faster than ground mount.
