After farming off and on this past week, I spent a day (and half the night) running Theater of Pain and this finally dropped tonight, I lost count, but I think it took around 20 runs. I got this based on some HPS modeling from askmrrobot. I'll follow-up once I've actually rune carved a cloth piece in production and test this out with my fairly standard Disc rotation (keep atonement up and DPS... amongst my damage rotation: I keep Purge the Wicked up as a Dot across mobs to maximize dps and thus heals). As such, this should be a huge help, but proof is in the actual game play.

Stating the obvious, but for those of us that like to supplement our mythic runs with some pug runs (when the group can't meet) this legendary farming at a !.17% drop rate can be brutal. That said, it sure brought a smile to my face when it dropped.

This is very similar to the Torghast anima power Schaden Fluorite but gives a static amount of healing rather than 10%. I used it because I tend to tab-target and put dots on enemies even if I'm a healer so I figured it'd be nice to get a nice healing boost without really changing my play style.

This legendary power doesn't work the same way as the anima power. With Schaden Fluorite, "expires" also means "when the target dies". So as long as you maintain SW:P on every target, you'll get a good burst of AoE healing upon each death. However, Cauterizing Shadows only seems to define "expires" in the traditional sense: when the debuff reaches its full duration. Which means if you reapply it or the target dies before the 16 seconds is up, you get nothing. Most enemies don't live long enough, even when I'm soloing in holy spec and taking forever to kill things, so the only time this might proc is on bosses.

TL;DR: This thing doesn't work the way you think it does and, in my opinion, isn't worth it.
