This recipe is obtainable by Mage scribes at 175 inscription from BFA. When creating a refreshment table, in a group, the Mage has a chance to proc this recipe. The recipe itself is auto-learned by mages, BUT an extra technique is created which is BoE, which a mage can then sell or trade.

If you are not a mage but a scribe who wants this, you have to either buy the recipe on the AH or have a mage alt learn inscription and level it up and get to making tables.

Am I the only mage annoyed by this? They gave us this new model in 8.2 and now they've taken it away for no reason other than to just add in a glyph for it which requires a mage scribe to get the recipe? So now we have the old one again and need to glyph it.

Those tricksey Hobbitses at Blizz: you can't just create a dummy group in Group Finder and spam Conjure Refreshment; you have to have someone in your group and be in close proximity in order for your Conjure Refreshment to create a table rather than your own personal Mana Buns.

Guess I know what I'll be spamming in next week's Technique: Glyph of the Dark Depths LFR run . . .

Death Knight scribes can also create this technique and have it without having to buy it.

Minimum requirements:

Be 175 inscription
Be a Death Knight
a Mage acquaintance

Here's how:

Talent 'Dark Simulacrum' in your war mode talents
Enable war mode
Join party with your mage friend
Duel your mage friend
Follow your mage friend out of bounds of the duel so that you get the warning that it will cancel in 10 seconds
Mage casts food table (it will only do the single version since you're in a duel)
DK casts Dark Simulacrum on Mage before the spell is finished
Duel Ends
DK casts their mage table via Dark Simulacrum (since the duel is over, it makes the table instead)

You will not only learn the technique, but also get a copy of it in your bags to do whatever with. It's not 100% so keep trying and make sure you're 175 Kul Tiran Inscription.

Tried to make the glyph, couldn't find a single mage who could make conjured mana buns and the glyphs were no longer in my bags. I still have a recipe for sale and still have the glyph learned, but was wondering if anyone else ran into this issue or noticed it. I checked patch notes, but maybe i missed something. Maybe they have to learn their way up to mana buns again ( highest found was pudding) or maybe this is now meant to be a level 60 glyph? Any information would be greatly appreciated! :)

Shadowlands Prepatch: YOU CAN STILL RECEIVE MANA BUNS!

In the battleground "Seething Shore" there is a mage on the ship you can talk to and ask him to make you mana food. The mana food you receive are the mana buns you need for this recipe! They seem to be tradable, exactly the same as mana buns.

You can get this just by starting your own group in group finder and enter any instance and start makin tables, did it in ragefire chasm just now

I think it's fixed and you can already craft it again without reaching level 60.

Leveled a mage scribe specifically to unlock this and give the recipe to my actual scribe druid.

Has anyone tested if it's possible to proc more of the recipe from casting more tables or if its only the one time when the mage learns it innately?

Edit: It's not.

Got this technique last night, allow me to share my experience, maybe it will help others.

1. Patch 9.2 Shadowlands.
2. Level 53 Mage.
3. Swapped Herbalism for Inscription and leveled BFA inscription from 0 to 175 in one go.
4. Invited an alt on my second account to group to try and proc the technique, alt was level 50 druid with gathering professions.
5. Took 5-6 casts of the mage table to proc the technique.

Will probably try to get the technique again for goblin purposes and will experiment with lower level mage also trying to proc the technique at various stages of profession leveling.

Got it today on a lvl 50 mage with max BFA inscription, was in a group with people who were logged out.
