After doing some playing around with this, since the wording was a little unclear to me, this seems to work as if the spell had a bonus mini-crit added to it. The proc doesn't heal the person you actually have targeted, the proc heals the person that the proc happened on.

For example, if you had renew on a tank and had a rogue selected, the proc would heal the tank and not the rogue.

This trinket isn't really the most attractive, especially considering the other selection of other healing trinkets. It's a small RNG hps boost and is best used on fights where you aren't able to stack.

Basically a random mini-crit effect. The numbers work out to 4.62% more healing done, plus of course the intellect proc. The effect can proc off pretty much any heal, including healing over time spells and ground effects like Efflorescence. As a resto druid this thing goes off all the time (at least once per second), adding a steady stream of extra healing. The proc cannot crit independently, so no double-dipping.

The downside of the trinket is that the intellect proc is entirely unreliable. If that had been static intellect this trinket would have been a no-brainer, but as it is it's a bit of a casino item. With some luck that proc can help a lot, but if you're unlucky it'll end up completely wasted.

Resto Druid here.

Let me start off by saying that this trinket appears to have no internal cooldown for the multistrike proc, as I have seen consecutive procs happen within the same second.

You can recognize the proc by its animation that is shared with wrath healing: Green fairies will twirl upwards around you as you hear a sound effect.

Multistrike will proc off all your heals and hots, even wrath healing. The only exception seems to be Cenarion Ward.

Given its 10% chance of being triggered and it does 30% of the original heals, this should contribute to 3-5% of your overall healing done.

Multistrike procs from Atonement, but Mark of Salvation does not. Friendly Penance will but offensive Penance will not.

As a holy priest I find this item very usefull - the Multistrike effect procs even from Mastery: Echo of Light.
However the int buff seems to never proc from my healing spells...

For Disc Priests I'll agree that the int bonus definitely does not proc from atonement dps, but I've also noticed that it does not seem to proc well at all from healing spells either. It does seem to have an affinity to proc specifically from non-GCD-inducing spells like Archangel, Sprit Shell or Pain Suppression for some nonsensical reason that I find infuriating...

Regardless, the intellect will proc for you if you're nuke-healing with the T16 2-item set bonus and popping Archangel on CD for the 10% crit bonus. If you're doing that, you'll probably get less procs out of it, but it'll still fire off for you every minute or two.

As far as people complaining that the trinket sucks for disc because the shield portion of crit heals doesn't transfer with the 33% bonus heal proc: I'll agree to that complaint, but also bear in mind that when it procs from your atonement heals it will automatically hit targets that're less than full health, which will lead to less overheals from the trinket procs. I'm not quite sure the two things cancel each other out, but it's worth considering...

As a holy paladin, I wouldn't recommend this unless you don't have a choice.

The int proc is extremely unreliable and you can literally heal minutes without receiving it. Compared to other trinkets providing solid int boosts, it's needless to say which one takes the cake. The other attribute is okay, but the entirety just isn't enough for at least me to pick this one over the others.

As a Holy Paladin I've noticed a huge HPS loss going from Lightning-Imbued Chalice to the Flex version of this trinket. Not too sure why. Maybe it's not proc'n on AOE heals.

Just got this - first week of LFR. Took 18 wipes and a lots of DPS, that didn't bother to learn the fight.

But it's worth it. Cute Healer mechanics :)

Seeing as I couldn't see this actual information:

This trinket provided a total of approximately 1.8% of my healing as Restoshaman in lfr. The lowest proc was 283 (probably a earrthliving tick(?)) and the highest was around the 80k mark... most likely from Greater Healing Wave.

The procs can occur off hots, earhtliving ticks, and healing rain etc.

Overall, I'd say this trinket is a decent upgrade from the LFR healing trinkets of the previous tier. Don't be put off just by the lack of stock +Int on this trinket.

NOTE: ~~Upgrading it only effects the power of the intellect proc, not the % chance to trigger (as of time of writing).~~

Confirming now that the % chance to proc DOES upgrade with valor, to ~12% with 2/2 upgrades (500 valor).

Just picked up this up on my priest while healing in LFR

I solo in shadow spec, and I can confirm that the Intellect proc activates on self healing from devouring plague, and presumably Vampiric Embrace

Quite a downer for a Disc Priest this Trinket, cause the proc for the first effect doesn't work with our Divine Aegis. So (most of) your Mastery and all of your Crit is useless on the procs.

Explanation for the clueless:

33k Multistrike

Use it for it's second effect (a massive temp. intellect boost) if you don't have a better Trinket yet (like me!), since the second effect is still lovely ... but the first effect, no, let the other healers take it over the Disc.

Not saying the trinket itself is so @#$% you should flush it down the toilet straight away... just that there's plenty of other Trinkets to take which are more in tune with Disc!

Now that all the stat priorities have completely changed, is this a more viable trinket than the samoflange? With almost infinite mana at 90 what use is a spirit trinket?
I'm really struggling to find a reliable source of information regarding trinkets and stats in general
