If you are MM or SV, wolf, the AP bonus from furious howl rocks.
The wolves in Hellfire ramps are cool, and can be tamed. I went out and got old Ironjaw....only wolf that looks like him in game. Have yet to see another hunter with him.
Note that Ironjaw is not in Hellfire but in Terokkar ;)
Got him myself too, looks awsum next to my PvP geared Dwarf :D
you are correct. I should have been more clear in my post. the ones in Hellfire I was referring to
are these
.

About Furious Howl, it does not stack with Paly Might or Warrior Battle Shout.
So the better bonus will overwrite / take priority over the weaker.
And Furious is the weakest between those 3.
Tho you should take Kings. But a warrior or ret paly might prefer might, so they won't get Furious Howl's AP.
So it might be a good idea to have another pet on stand by. Depending on grp composition.
If i'm wrong please correct me, but thats what i got from stickies.

So this is a wildly outdated thread...
I tested this the other day on a Raiding Training Dummy: Spirit Wolf vs. Spirit Raptor.
I confirmed this a couple times just to be sure what I was really looking at was really happening... The Raptors added almost 20K ***MORE*** dps over the wolves using the same exact attacks and rotation... (This was a test of sustained dps. Burst dps was much higher).
These days - the pets all work a bit different than they did back in 2009 when most of these posts were created. Wolves are still Ferocity Pets and Raptors are Cunning but the damage difference between the two is outrageous... I use Raptors for everything these days.
