Why Your Religion?

I accept the other side's view of the evidence. All of it shows that the universe was created more than 8K years ago, and I still believe in creation. I don't justify these views with 'just cause', or 'God is testing us', or any of that, but I justify it with logic.
However, I already stated my reasoning, and it was soundly ignored. This probably means there was so much truth to it that people chose to ignore it. I took it as a compliment.
Anyway, I'm not going to repeat myself. If you want to read it, dig it up yourself.
Don't get me wrong - I know what your view is. I don't see that as an invalid view, personally. I'm just saying that we've moved on from ridiculing what other people see in evidence, that's all, probably about a page ago.
People find it hard to drop old wounds though. Few people would think about your view when they think about how a Christian reconciles evolution with Creation. So it's unsurprising that they would slip back to the old status quo every now and then.

Well, part of the reason why people don't believe the explanation that the evidence was "planted" is because no evidence is provided to justify such a conclusion - it is purely speculation. You can't just make accusations against the evidence without having some evidence to your claim. Perhaps if you found some inconsistencies in the fossil record that are unexplainable, or that the cosmic radiation from the Big Bang actually is dated to 6k years, etc. you might have a case to make. Still, if it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, feels like a duck, tastes like a duck, until you have something akin to DNA evidence of it not being a duck you're not going to be well off.

Seeing is believing.
Also, looks can be decieving...i'm what's you may call Weak Agnostic, i don't believe in any diety but i accept that there are some things we cannot yet explain(or ever).Untill there is some proof of any diety and seeing him/her/it with my own eyes i'll not bow to an invisible being that lets us suffer at the hands of the "evil forces"just to teach us a lesson.

MyTie the reason why it was ignored it that it was so wrong...
Let's have a fun thought experiment- Imagine that there is no God but every single religion right not operated like usual. Do you think that there would be a change in anything and if there is not a change, do you think it really matters?
What does this have to do wtih my explaination?Well, part of the reason why people don't believe the explanation that the evidence was "planted" is because no evidence is provided to justify such a conclusion.
However, if the universe were to have been created, it would be a logical conclusion. There would be no inconsistent findings. In fact, if God were perfect, then inconsistent findings would be evidence against Him. The fact that the universe is seamless is encouraging to me.

What I really don't get is that people can exist a God that simply exists, that does not require creation, but the Universe can't have the same property.

Because the universe is bound by its physical laws in order to be logically consistent, meaning that it cannot simply exist. God isn't bound, in most describable forms, meaning that he can simply exist.

How come most of these "Gods", being all mighty and powerful like they say they are, can't just save all of us when the rapture or apocalypse cometh? How come all these "Gods" are only willing to save the people that believe in them?

Because the whole point of coming here is to see if you will retain your faith in Him. Because you didn't retain your faith, then you are impure and you cannot be near Him, as only pure things are allowed int he Presence of God.
(At least for me.)

But why create the human race and allow them to become "impure" as you say, and then kill them? Are we just some game to these "Gods"? What reason would these "Gods" have to do this? And the answer "just because" is'nt a truly acceptable answer for me.
Also, i'm not trying to be all like "your god is stupid", i'm just curious as to the answers of these questions.

Are you to say that the physical laws are constant, and we've never been wrong about them in the past? How do you know things cannot simply exist? The universe is bound by it's physical laws perhaps, but what do we know about existence period?

Have you ever played the Sims?

Definitely not. Conservation of matter suggests that the universe can't simply 'exist' - that there has to be something preceding it. Not saying that we can't be wrong about the physical laws of matter, but given a lack of evidence to the contrary at the present point in time, it would appear just as illogical to believe that the universe 'exists' as a God 'exists', rendering the argument incredibly hypocritical.
