Ok, I don't usually post questions like this on the forums, but still using a 200 ilvl trinket while ICC looms ahead is bugging me a bit, so here goes:
Currently for tanking, I use
Darkmoon card: Greatness
and
Heart of Iron
.
So my question is: should I replace my card with
Juggernaut's Vitality
or
Glyph of Indomitability
? I'm not usually a fan of using double stam trinkets (except on fights like heroic beasts), so maybe replace Heart of Iron with Juggernaut's Vitality? Although I'm not too keen on its use effect.
Thx in advance for any advice given ^^

Double stamina trinkets is FUN. However either of those two you mentioned are good trinkets. Personally I would use Juggernaut + Heart of Iron.
On the other hand there are two possible points of view about using the DMC:G.
First, avoidance will be a precious commodity in ICC. With BoK, DMC will provide (at that level of diminishing returns) about 1.5% dodge and some more ~5% dodge on proc. It has a high uptime and as such it is a valuable trinket.
Second: on the other hand, the value of any avoidance attributes will be greatly reduced at that level (diminishing returns again). As such, wearing Effective Health boosting trinkets will provide the best overall benefit. The use effect on the Juggernaut is not bad at all. 4600 more HP is a decent buffer and should be used in conjunction with Survival Instincts for best effect. The avoidance use effect on Heart of Iron is also great and makes it a superb trinket. Another reason in favor of
effective health
stamina would be the heavy magic damage that is going to fly around ICC. The Glyph of Indomitability is surely a nice piece but somehow it lacks the appeal... 1800 armor from a lvl 245 piece? Give me a fcuken break. A value of 2500 armor or so would have made it truly great. Nevertheless, it is also good for its use effect (probably ~7.5% dodge at that DR level).
You could grab all these trinkets and for fights where physical damage is predominant (especially when tanking multiple adds / fast hitting bosses), the Heart of Iron + Glyph of Indomitability should prove to be a nice avoidance use effect combo - +12% dodge (yes, yes, I know, at that DR level) when the sh
i
t hits the fan is nothing to sneeze at.
Aaaaaaargh walls of text FTL. Grab them all and use them in proper combinations, according to what you're tanking.

a direct upgrade would be (reg/heroic)
Death's Choice/Verdict
with more recent content consisting of a lot of stuns preventing you from both dodging and proccing items and blizzard most likely continuing the trend into ICC combined with chill of the throne in there i'd opt for straight EH
a scarab, indominability, or even black heart would suffice

I was already planning on making different gear sets for different situations, but thus far only expertise for bosses came to mind:
Legionnaire's gorget
for extra aoe threat on adds and extra mitigation,
Fortitude of the infernal
for the awesome stam and expertise for bosses. When I get some more expertise items, I might do it some more (e.g.
Reinforced Thunderstrike
to replace my
Twin's Pact
). Well, on bosses anyways ...
a direct upgrade would be (reg/heroic)
Death's Choice/Verdict
I consider that more of a dps item, even though it procs 450 agi. It's high in demand as well, pretty much all melee want it.

That's why I find it so hard to replace it, it's just too good ^^

Hadn't either considered SI yet :o So far I only used double stam trinkets on fights where there's a lot of unavoidable and unmitigatable damage, such as Gormok's impale.
