I play on a US rp server Kirin Tor.
KT has seen a loss of a lot of ppl both after BC hit and when Wrath hit of ppl transferring to the HUGE realms.
Not very much RP on this rp server. Not too many asshats on this server either since most the ones who remained on KT are mature, competent players.
Pugs are somewhat difficult to find for content thats not Wrath related. So getting your dk some nice gear is a hair pulling experience... A lot of nice guilds here too.

Hakkar US PVP EST - Extremely low population (less than 2k Alliance side). Horde outnumbers Alliance by a good amount (though this doesn't bother me at all). The people I've met are friendly and helpful. I am looking to get transfer to another server at some point. I would recommend if you want a quiet server without a lot of interaction with others. If you are looking to party up with others or do pug's I would advise against.

Greymane - US
Greymane is what i guess you would say your average server. Nothing is too expensive or to cheap compared to other servers but the Horde/Alliance ratio is off. Alliance out number the Horde 2/1 and when it comes to WG... or Raids on cities... its just sad.. Us Horde just get stomped on....
Ner'zul - US
a cool pvp server. i play as an alliance dk with my friends, don't pay much attention to the servers economy but i assume is pretty average.

Ravencrest EU PVP
Launch realm (oh how we loved 5-10 sec delay on looting those lvl 3 quest items) in EU.
VERY Scandinavian realm, mainly Danish since a lot of Danish wow boards agreed to roll on Ravencrest, but there's also a lot of Swedes & Norwegians
Plenty of high quality raiding guilds, so a lot of raid content is pugged by alts (pre 3.1, everything including Sarth+3 was regularly pugged (and that was pre-zerg method as well).
The community is a bit so-so, Alliance seems to be going pretty well, but Horde has a few black sheep guilds.
A bit overpopulated these days (hint: Migrators are NOT welcome, especially whole guilds), and during Wintergrasp it's a downright nightmare. Wintergrasp itself can also be nigh impossible to play, as 3-4 full raids on either side is not unusual. Tenacity is not unusual during the odd hours of the day.
