dont roll a paladin as a first character because its simply to boring the first 40 levels, choose a hunter its the best class to get to know the wow game.

take class you like most.
as i see theres NO class that sucks on pvp AND pve at one time. (if you do, i think you shouldnt play with that class)
for example i took rogue because i liked stealth (invisibility in mmo? w00t!) idea. and im happy with it. its hard to kill pallies or dk's but hell, i pwn mages(sometimes). :P

Well,i plan on buying WoW real soon and i've been looking up on the game as to what class I would like to play.
Granted,I will play all the class but I wish to know if there is a good beginning class to play.I have been talking to a friend about the classes in the game(he's a Warlock) and he game me some suggestions.
He said that Hunters or Mages preferably are good class to play and i don't really know why. So,if someone can educate me,I would be eternally grateful.
Also,i have done my research. So,naturally, when i heard about Pally's class i though for sure I would want that class. But as i when around different boards, many WoW players told me they were looked down upon when they see a noob Pally. :/
I don't see why,as Pally's have such an wide array of playing. From Holy to Protection and Retribution.
But yeah.
Essentially what I'm asking is:What is a good beginning class to play? :3

I would have to suggest either a Warlock or Hunter. The only thing about Hunters is that there's a lot of them. If you don't mind that then go for it :)

I dont think every class in WoW is hard to play... Just start with any class given... and slowly you will learn your class ability... and probably other class as well... From what i see here, you know pally more abit then any other classes? ...probably you read more about them eh?(maybe i was wrong)
But anyway...
Why not? Go on.. just roll pally... those bad pallys that you read are not you. Even if you not a pally.. but bad on any other class... you still gonna call BAD by the others.
I dont really like pallys... why not? Not because they not good or so whtever. Its because i love dark thing.. thats why i roll on DK and Warlock.
Yeh... like some of these guy said
Why play a class because it is easy to start with?
Pick what best suits you, its all trial and error.
and
take class you like most.

Death Knight's do level pretty quickly. They're insanely overpowered in Outlands, and they are pretty nifty with their buffs. However, most people look down on Death Knights.
I'm currently leveling a druid, and it is amazing, aside fromm the constant respecs. I'll get Dual Specs someday...
Pallies are pretty survivable, and hunters are amazing. The thing with the hunter though, is that you might be labeled a huntard if you don't do very well in groups...

For Myself, I picked a
druid
to begin with.
I kept looking through all of the classes, over and over again but could never decide on one because I was so excited and there were many aspects of the game I wanted to experience.
Enter Hybrids (
Druid
,
Paladin
,
Shaman
)
Druids(in my experience) are probably the best thing in the world, because if you find you don't enjoy dealing damage, let's say, in cat form you can re-talent and try it in moonkin. After further playing, let's say dealin' damage turns out not to be your thing, you can switch up talents some more and BAM you can tank or heal.(Granted you have collected the gear that will allow you to do it effectively)
Likewise, if you think you would like to walk around in full plate armor and heal, deal damage, or tank you could roll a paladin.
Shaman can do all of the above except for tank, because towards the end of the game wearing mail armor is not enough to withstand the massive amounts of damage. So they get a choice between melee damage, ranged damage or healing.
So personally, for a first time character I have found that playing one of the Hybrids works well since you may experience all of the different areas of playing without re-rolling an entirely new character(Unless you REALLY love doing a specific task).
My 2 cents : )
Good Luck!
