Two words for this "monk" class: fist weapons. Give it fist weapons and I think it will be viable.

Well and whose bright idea was it anyway to give druids ONE fist weapon?

I had posted a thread about this topic not too long ago. Might take a look at it. I had actually pegged the class as pure healer - but healing through DPS.
Here's
the post. It's not quite like the WoWWiki information this is all based on, but close.
As a change to what I had posted, since using the runic system would be a good idea and consistent with the DK hero class design: Rather than having two energy bars, have their damage based on a runic energy bar that starts at 100% and their heals based completely on their runes, with the runes charging up based on the Runemaster's damage output.

Dwarves and Gnomes (since both are tied to the earth. Gnomes so they can finally have a healing class, too.) And on Horde, Orcs and Tauren. Seems to fit best for them.
(And if the wacky rumor is true, Worgen and Goblins too. :-P)
Great write up. I always wanted a monk-like healing class in WOW, and this is *perfect*

Yep. Gnomes are tied to the earth -- as lawn ornaments.

Does anyone really think that Blizzard is reading this. It is just for fun. There are no new ideas, just differant variations but there are new players and new members to wowhead that have not nor want to sift through thousands of old posts. The only thing worse than posting something bad is responding to something you think is bad.
Not to mention the fact that, even if Blizzard watched these forums, like they watch the official forums, they could not use anything posted unless they had previously come up with the idea.
I'll see if I can find the source, but I'm pretty sure that Blizzard has a notice that they cannot accept any unsolicited submissions due to their company policies - so even if you wrote code that would perfectly integrate with WoW and add in a new class that would be 100% balanced and offered to give it to them for free, they would have to turn it down because it's unsolicited.
Speculation can sometimes be fun for speculation's sake. If you don't like it, don't read it; no one is forcing you to do so.

I think it would be cool if the runes you had were based on what tree you were in, kind of like they were originaly going to do with dks where they could switch which runes they were using, but make it either talents deeeeeeep in the trees or switch at trainer for small fee like respeccing talents, this way you could switch into the runes you use most based on your spec
