Soloing as a Rogue (opinions)

Ok so I have a couple 80s (feral druid, ret paly, frost mage, enhance shammie, survival hunter, blood DK, affliction lock). Hmmm maybe more than a couple ;)
Anyway, I'm wondering how you rogues feel about your ability to solo in Northrend (or lack thereof) compared to other classes.
With my feral druid I pretty much solo'd all of the quests in Northrend to get the Loremaster of Northrend. How well do rogues solo compared to the classes I listed? I have a 72 rogue and I'm toying with the idea of finishing levelling him, but I also don't want to be frustrated with how often I need to acquire the assistance of others.
Thoughts/opinions?

I tend to be a solo quester, and I managed to get to Loremaster on my assassination-specced rogue without having to rely upon others very much. I was able to solo all of the quests not marked as (Group) easily; after I over-leveled the group quests in HF and BT, I could do them without breaking a sweat.
The only group quests I felt obligated to group up for were the Riders quests in Icecrown, the Onslaught Harbor final boss(es), the fight-the-giant quest in Storm Peaks, Ragemane in ZD, the Magnataur chain in Dragonblight, and a few of Thassarian's quests (including Last Rites in BT). There are still a couple of group quests in Icecrown and ZD I haven't done, but knowing me, I'll get to them eventually :)
I'll admit that soloing some of them on my prot warrior was much easier than on my rogue, but the only corpse runs usually came when I got adds I didn't expect or when vanish was on cooldown. The key for me was keeping myself food- and elixir-buffed, clearing trash out carefully, and scouting the pulls. And obviously, it also helps to run dungeons, since you'll get better gear from the bosses and from the quests that bring you in there. (I had particularly bad luck on rogueish drops outside of dungeons.)

So then it stands to reason that a rogue who is 80, with gear coming out of ToGC or Icecrown should be able to go back and finish up the quests to get Loremaster?
Also, have you been able to solo many instances? As long as I could solo most of the 5 mans from pre-BC then I'd be ok to do groups for all the other ones to get the achieves.

It may be possible to get Loremaster of Northrend
before
you hit 80. You certainly don't need ToGC gear--or even ToC gear, for that matter. I got it using a mishmash of quest blues, trash drops (dual LPCs), and crafted gear. I'd only been in the spider wing of Naxx 10, and ToC wasn't open yet.
Soloing the pre-BC 5-mans is easy; you could probably do that right now. The only one that was tough were the Scholomance Occultists, since they become immune to physical damage. (
Iron Boot Flask
FTW; the little jolts of electricity were enough to burn them down!)
The early BC dungeons are mostly soloable, though the bosses or some big pulls may give you trouble. That said, some of the tougher ones are doable if you're patient. (I did Steamvaults up to the last boss last night.)

I don't think achieving Loremaster is a proof of the rogue ability to solo the content. I did earn it a few weeks ago, and I still find my rogue squishy to say the least.
I wasn't able to solo Venoxis in ZG for the quest in Silithis (I always die with Venoxis at 1%, call me the most unlucky person), nor am I able to solo any heroic BC dungeon… That makes me sad considering that even the worst of the DKs can solo pretty much anything with a good spec :/
Until the rogue has a huge bump in survivability, I'm left with having to rely on others to go to ZG & else.

At 80 you should easily be able to solo anything up to I would say Mana Tombs dungeon wise.
