So thanks to the new patch, all Executes will be in the much more rage efficient form of Sudden Death. Given that Sudden Death Executes were always the highest priority attack in Arms' rotation, should we ignore everything else(Overpower, MS, Rend refresh)? Has anybody run the numbers on this?

Kramp
OP and Rend were the highest priority.

I think you might be on to something. Little to no threat of Rage starvation while Execute spamming. It had to happen.

for god's sake, theere is no change at all on SD or execute on this patch, noobs stop commenting about a game you have never played.
I hope you face is glowing red, both from the embarrassment of your lost post as well as due to lack of oxygen from your foot being in your mouth.
All executes now act like Sudden Death, with a cap on the amount of rage they use it. Now using an execute will not leave you completely rage starved when boss is under 20%.

Keep Rend up because you can still use Taste for Blood procs when you have enough rage to Overpower but not enough to Execute. You also need to keep up Sunder Armor if you've got no prot warrior or rogue willing to do Expose Armor. Under 20% you shouldn't be using Slam or MS because, as you correctly identified, Execute has better DPR than either.
Edit: Rogues do 20% armor reduction, not feral druids.

While a warrior can basically spam Execute why not jump to 'Zerker Stance for the extra Crit. chance? I've been experimenting with this and I can do some real damage with this approach.

Because you can't keep rend and OP while in zerk stance.

Maybe you don't need Rend and Op at this stage of a battle, while you can Execute every GCD. At a 30 rage max cost this is even more possible.

Because OP as the best rage/damage ratio.
And with the amount of crit we can get in raids environement ( around 45-50% ). 10% arp would certainly be better than 3% anyway.

Have a look at
Taste for Blood
. It allows for one Overpower every 6 sec. 6 sec. is 4 GCD's. So... you suppose one
Overpower
every 4 GCD's is better than one
Execute
every GCD? The patch has basically removed the threat of Rage Starvation associated with Execute spamming. It looks like a winner to me.

I suppose 1 OP and 3 Execute is better than 4 Executes.

Wow, didn't think it would get this hotly debated. Thanks to everyone who replied... with constructive thoughts :)
I honestly hadn't thought of that swap to Berserker stance thing, which besides the extra crit would give access to Recklessness, 3 guaranteed crits of Execute would be pretty sweet but as Kramp mentioned, 10% ArP may be better than 3% crit. Further testing needed...
I'm planning to do a bit more testing when my guild raids this weekend, since the patch hit I've only been running Heroics for badges and all the bosses die too quickly at >20% to effectively gauge whether or not Execute spam is more effective than adding the OP, but yeah, keeping Rend up does seem like the best course of action.
While we're on the topic of Execute spamming, lemme ask the Fury warriors out there. Last time I checked, >20% rotation was to basically continue the normal rotation of WW, BT, Slam on proc, then substitute Execute for HS as a rage dump, does this still hold true? From my preliminary tests, it does seem like Execute does give better damage/rage ratio than BT, but not as much as WW.

Woot! Add Recklessness as well. I forgot about that completely. Do you see what happens when you focus on one stance? Nice call Silverd!

Did some testing on the 2 VoA bosses from 20%, forgot to reset my damage meters but will try that when I have some time. Just as a gear comparison, my Warr is sitting at around 3,900 ap, 35% crit, and 37% ArP unbuffed.
My findings were that Overpower would crit every single time for around 5k, but that's nothing compared to Execute which crit for around 8-9k each time however, it would only crit around 2 or 3 out of 5 times for a measly 3k average. So theoretically, assuming you use 4 GCD's in 6 seconds, rage issues notwithstanding... assuming you have crappy crit/just plain bad luck...
Overpower + 3 Executes = 5,000 + 3,000(3) = 14,000
However if you do have a high enough crit that at least... half of your Executes crit, you get around...
2 Executes + 2 crit Executes = 3,000(2) + 8,500(2) = 23,000
So basically high crit makes Execute spam incredibly powerful.
For those who are wondering how viable plain Execute spam is, Rage is simply not a factor anymore. Using Execute at every GCD (glyphed and talented to reduce cost) and I never went below 40 rage, as the auto attack would put me right back up to full or close to it.
If somebody has time to test how much more powerful a Battle Stance Execute is to a Berserker Stance Execute, please do post here.

My Execute crits on average hit for between 5-6k Now.
lol? I just hit level 72 on my warrior and my execute crits for that much with a measly 1.1k attack power. Your doing something wrong sir :P (Also I fight in battle stance, don't know what your fighting in)
