Skipping Jade Forest?

Hi,
I wonder how viable would it be to just skip whole Jade Forest to avoid the congestion there and just run straight to Valley of the Four Winds? With high enough ilvl would it be viable? How easy is it to get there with ground mount since when i was on the beta JF was down. Looking forward to hear your opinions...thanks :D

No; until you do some quests in the Jade Forest, you can't progress anywhere on Pandaria anyways. As for the congestion: There are multiple quest hubs you can start at, so you can get away from some of the people.

Adamsm. I just looked in the MoP database at the VoTFW quest requirements and a few say only 85 is required. Are you saying they require some lead in quest or something?
Cheers.

So what you are saying there are some intro quests that can't be skipped...didn't know that thanks! Then a follow up question...how long do i have to stay in JF?Will it be made obvious through quests there?Since i would really like to get a head start on a 86 zone just to be ahead of the crowd since they tend to slow me down alot....any input will be helpfull! Thanks once again :D

Yes it will be obvious as you quest. However.....jumping to the Valley isn't the 'smartest' thing either lol; lots of people will be thinking of that, and by skipping a few of the hubs in Jade Forest, the main story line of both the Valley and the Wilds will not make much sense, as you meet the quest NPC's at the Tian Monastery. So, I'd stick it out and go through but unlike the Cata zones, you can choose where you want to go after you unlock the Alliance/Horde start area; I've only ever done the Forest alliance side, but I believe most of the hubs over lap: Pearlfin Village is Alliance only, but the Nectarbreeze Orchard, Dawn's Blossom, Tian Monastery and the Arboreium are all there too.

There are no quests that must be done in Jade Forest, but you won´t have enough quests in V4W if you are fresh 85.
The ´best´ method if you want to skip Jade Forest is just to run dungeons until 87 and then head to kun lai summit. Is it fastest, nobody knows, but plenty of people having been doing it on beta as a test.
The first three zones ( Jade, V4W and Kensai Wilds) really do not offer much gear upgrades if you are at ilvl 390ish now. You do get a blue 404 weapon fairly early in Jade Forest though, but other than that, my main has kept all his gear until the summit, and even then I have been skipping ´slight´ upgrades in order to disenchant. If you have good gear now, you really won´t need mop gear until TS and DW.
I am not trying to be mean, but the truth is there were like 1.2 million people in beta. Beta gives a huge advantage for world firsts.... I cut my leveling time almost in half the second time leveling... it is very unlikely you are going to be able to get world first anything with so many people in the beta.
Jade forest is set up well for launch. First off, they will be splitting realms if the population is too high. Second, the whole issue of tagging mobs isn´t that bad. There are not a lot of straight ´kill 12 bear´ quests... and they have some clever things that should help with that issue anyway.
I think they learned a lot from Hellfire Pennisula.. that is why they split both Wotlk and Cata into two starting zones.. I really think they are confident in their new tech that will split realms which is why they went back to just having 1 starting area.
