Shout Priority & Who Shouts What?

Of the three shouts (
Battle
,
Demoralizing
,
Commanding
) what should be your highest priority in groups?
Say you're tanking in a group with DPS warrior and no paladin? I figure one person should do Battle, another Commanding, but does it matter which? Will the tank generally have more rage to spare on Demo, or should the DPS do it?
As a tank, if there is a paladin, I usually ask for Kings, so should I be hitting Battle Shout for the AP, or asking for Might and then doing Commanding shout?
Lots of people talk about which paladin should judge what, and maybe I'm over complicating this, but is there a decent rule of thumb? Which shout matters more for/from which warrior?

Thanks Cluck! I don't know a lot about DPS builds (/shame), are those something most DPS warriors pick up? Imp. Demo. seems like a lot of points for something that won't improve DPS.

Makes sense. If a DPS warrior has Commanding Presence and is using Commanding, would it make sense for the tank to hit Battle for the melee DPS? Or is it not really a high priority thing? (And obvious if there's a Pally it's not worth it.)

Well obviously the tank should spam Demoralizing Shout since it's more of a threat builder rather than actually something to blunt the mobs with, thus DPS shouldn't concern themselves with it.
Demo has a threat component? I know it can aggro things, but I've never heard about it having some additional threat. Most references I can find say a Fury warrior with Imp. Demo should do it, since so few tanks can spare talent points there.
Well duh.
I know it was a kind of dumb question. I'm just trying to do my best.

The threat from Demo Shout is so small it's a non-factor. The reason the tank usually does the Demo Shout is because he's the one better suited to keep an eye on it. I know I wouldn't necessarily want to depend on my DPS warriors to keep Demo Shout up for me. Also, it's pretty rare for a "normal" DPS warrior to have improved Demo Shout.
As a tank I normally stick with Commanding Shout in raids (unimproved). If a DPS with improved shouts does it then it will just over-write mine anyway.

No, a tank uses Demo shot to reduce the damage he takes by removing all of the boss's AP. If the threat component of it was the only component it wouldn't be worth the rage.

kings and commanding stack, so don't figure that into your decision. i typically like to do commanding and demo myself since then i'm sure they will not fall off. letting commanding shout fall off can actually cause a wipe in certain fights (KT & gluth for example).
that also lets the dps keep up improved battle shout to maximize raid dps. on a really tough progression fight, i might ask for improved commanding shout, but only if i trust the dps warrior a lot!

Thanks marklartank. That's just the kind of advice I was looking for. Somewhere, in the back of my head, I knew Kings and Commanding stack. /facepalm. So basically, most situations, a warrior tank should keep the tanking shouts (Cmd, Demo) and let a DPS warrior do Battle, unless I very much trust the DPS to keep up Imp. Commanding?

Demo has a threat component. It used to be 50 at lvl 70 divided by number of targets. On boss its 50, on 10 thrash mobs 5 threat to each so no big deal.
I never knew that, but that seems completely negligible compared to a quick Thunder Clap when pulling a group.

If there's no other Warrior in your group, but there is a Warlock with an Imp, use Battle Shout. Commanding Shout overrides the imps buff since it's stronger, but you gain more benefit with both Battle Shout and Imp Buff up than just Commanding Shout alone.
I didn't even think about Blood Pact. Good point.

No, it doesn't.
Since Kings is an all stat buff, and Commanding is a straight health buff, like Blood Pact, I'm not 100% here but I'm pretty sure they do.
