Lol you people will never admit your wrong will you.
The reason I didn't say mana alone, but the healing that comes with infinite resorces. Blizzard understands the paladin class can achieve too much dominance other other players in bgs world pvp and partly area with far too much ease.
Good on u blizzard for bringing paladins more into line with other classes in respect to skill based rewards. But don't stop there make their dps rotations actually require some skill and thought
Maybe even make them require spell penetration like dks and shamans. I see no reason why holy damage should ignore all resistances at all.

It doesn't ignore all resistances. There is just no built in resistance to it such as a totem or aura.

Exactly.
Mark of the Wild or Mage armor increase all magical resistances. Except holy because blizzard felt like leaving it out of the game for no good reason at all.

Two days ago I took my friend, freshly dinged 80, into VOA 25 in greens. Ret specced. He was third on heals, almost entirely from his free happy heal button of whatever...
Same night. I am pushed down to third on dps in a 25 man ony, on my 2598 GS Hunter...That I clearly know how to play...and evidenced by me being in the top three in the first place...By a ret palidan, with a 2350 gs...Of course the 1 spot was taken by an arcane mage, rocking both of those buttons...but still...hes a pure class, with next to zero defensive abilities whatsoever.
Of the top 3 there, the only one of us that didnt have to either stop dpsing (evocation) or cut total dps down by 50% for about 15 seconds at a time, to regain mana during this fight was the pali.
Yes, pali burst has been crippled, in the sense that they no longer triple their damage for ten second intervals...but you just plain cant argue that they are not putting out an ass ton of damage regardless. I say it all the time, and have yet to hear a valid counter. What other class can do 7k dps, stun you for what is it 8 seconds?, has an execute ability, can become invincible for short periods of time (mass dispel, and shattering throw still leave a couple seconds of total immunity, even if it doesnt go full duration) and can heal themselves, and while they are damaging you still throw out procced instant heals for a significant portion of their life?
By my math 7k X 8 = 56k...and that doesnt include the hammer of wrath you eat if your life drops to 20%.
The old faithful reply of its all skill, just wears thin here. NO, it takes skill to beat a pali. Generally alot. You have to burn your CDs carefully, you cant just run in there and mash a few buttons...you mean like running up, jamming a guy with repentance, wait for the trinket...wait for it...hit him with hammer of justice, seal twist his face off, and pressing hammer of wrath?
As in essentially the same exact technique that rets use against any class in the game?
To recap.
Yes. I strongly feel that ret palis should not be able to repeat the same rotation over and over again for as near as i can tell hours...without ever running out of mana. Pretty much every mana user in the game has to actively sacrifice dps to regen mana, except palis, and their abilities simply do not burn enough mana to force them into an OOM situation. That coupled with incredible dps/dpm potential should have a fee.
GC is my new hero. Up until his recent series of posts, that I have retitled "oh yeah...wow has other classes...lets help them out a bit...except locks...^&*! locks...%^&*ing fear..." I thought every dev played a human paladin...or lock...

oh yeah, to all the comments that say, you just hate palis, a response I heard a cop say when i was a kid to some punk he was arresting.
"If everyone hates you, maybe there is a reason. You ever consider maybe your the one thats in the wrong here?"

The OP simply made my day.
Not only I've started PvPing on my Druid (Feral) a week ago, I also have just TWO PvP items (Furious' Gladiator's Cloak of Victory thingy and WG boots). I have around 100 resi.
I did some arenas with my buddy to get me into PvP and let me learn how to play a bit. We didn't really care 'bout rating (got to like 1k). I haven't encountered many Paladins BUT. Even ones who were outgearing me weren't hard to kill. Proper use of Prowl and Cat Form stuns, Berserk timing and instant Cyclones (Predatory Strikes ftw.) when Paladins try to heal (yes, I do force them to heal after the bubble).
Come to think of it, I'd have to be insanely skilled player or Paladins simply aren't that powerful. And considering the fact that I started PvP'ing as a Druid a week ago, I'm not skilled.
Face it, dear OP.
Retribution Paladins aren't powerful enough to be a serious threat to a good player.
@Demonn
Druids are so going to get nerfed now. They so are. We simply rock in PvP, especially Ferals.
Paladins should be buffed actually.

I dont think so. My Enh shaman in descentish gear and gear around 7-8k healing wave crits.
Was just dueling with a Ret Pally and he healed for 16800 with one holy light.
10500 direct heal and the rest sheath of light.
