I'd be more happy if they just removed the HoT portion of SS from the game entirely. The HoT is unnoticeable in any content that wasn't Ret PvP. A ticking hot for 300-400 is not going to save anyone. I swear it won't. Infusion of Light: a bloated talent that is now a graveyard for all of their "Holy" ideas.
The LoH change was needed to balance casual PvP. There you go. It's not even a balance issue anywhere but in a place where you can get singled out by 15 people and die instantly.
The purpose of this thread entirely! Why nerf my raiding talents because of pvp? I dont care what happens in battlegrounds because I dont enjoy battlegrounds. Im happy for the people that do. They are entitled to enjoy their gaming experience and Im glad they have found a place they consider awesome. I just don't see why everytime they start feeling overpowered by a class, said class has to be nerfed game-wide adversely affecting people like myself who think that WG, AV, SotA, EotS, and AB and even Wintergrasp for that matter, could all just have a nuke bomb dropped on them to settle the disputes once and for all and I could finally go back to TOGC with all my damn tools intact.
And if your hot is only ticking for 300-400, youre doing it wrong, but even that will keep a tank alive long enough for you to renew beacon or SS if you need to.

With exactly 2500 SP (God I love my raid gear) my FoL crits for 6137, getting ticks for 566 every second. Noncrits are 4158 and get me ticks for 382 every second.
With 4/5 T9, you'd see double those numbers. I still sneeze at this.
It's really impossible to tell, but I will not under any circumstances go out of my way to refresh this HoT.
It's just so insignificant. In the time it takes to tick, I'll probably have cast two spells that either overwrite it or do ten times as much healing. Do not think this HoT is vital to your healing. It isn't.

They get updated with the latest FoL you cast. It will always use the last one you cast as the HoT, even if it were weaker than the one currently on it.
It still sucks. If my FoL didn't make the target 100%, you bet I'll cast another to top him off. I'm not waiting for this HoT to tick. I'm not going out of my way to refresh it unless I'm bored out of my skull, either. You'd better be certain that this effect is barely worth the attention it gets.

you may break into tears.
It's not terrible, it's simply unnoticeable and ineffective.

I depend on having LoH for fights like Mimiron.
I use Divine Protection on the first plasma punch, and then hover over LoH on the second/third in case the healers can't keep up.
And there are times when $%^& hits the fan. Healer gets put in a slag pot or otherwise can't heal. Another healer misses this and doesn't pick up the slack and I get a bad hit from something. RNG *!@# happens. And now if I have forbearance, I can't save my own ass.
Why?
Because some jackass who got killed by a paladin in Wintergrasp cried.

I didn't say it was a tool to heal the tank up. But if Im standing in fire and my holy shock is on CD, it's better than nothing while I have to take a tick or two to move. Besides that, healing is healing. If nothing else, you're mitigating SOME of the incoming damage. But a good avoidance tank who hasn't stacked stam to the heavens trying to out-health a druid bear can live a little while I have to move or renew his beacon. Stam stacker goes down quick otoh. That being said, this would also be a brilliant time to LOH the tank if I didn't feel like the hot would be enough, but WAIT. I cant do that because then he loses all his defense CD's due to the OTHER NERF that brought PVP problems into PVE.

Eh, that just becomes a strategy thing. You're not going to be using the HoTs on a tank primarily, but even with SS previously, you wouldn't be FoL'ing the tank, you'd be spamming HL in end-game content. The HoT just makes Holy Paladins slightly more viable for raid healing. I don't think it was intended to be a swap for the LoH nerf, it was intended to be a swap for the SS HoT.

Perhaps I missed something, why the heck are they making LoH cause forbearance? It's been fine forever, why make some completely pointless idiotic change? I can't see any reason for them to do this beyond "Well lets screw with paladins for fun."
Maby becaus its not so fun to kill a ret 3 times :) just my thought
