I don't think PR is gonna be very dominant in season 8, but no doubt it will be fairly viable. Most rogue comps are about fast switching and burst. Rogues right now lack mobility to stick onto some targets and they also lack the survivability once their cooldowns are up. With a nerf to burst, if you don't score a kill by the time the prep cloak is down, you'll probably lose or have to kite around till cooldowns are up again.
This. If you want to try the outlasting route, Priest/Mage will be your best bet as a kiting team. Priest/Rogue is all about shutting down one and bursting the hell out of the other.

The problem with PR PM or MR comboes now that resilience have been changed is that there will be alot more risky to put on some pveitems to up their burst. Normaly both mage and rogue would put on some pvepieces to get higher burst, but this might change now.
However! discpriest afli might get a boost, and even disc priest + hunter might show up on the radar.
