Reasoning for pet ability not stacking with class counterpart

This must have been brought up before, I apologize if so. I don't think that pets would be so overpowered, with their pitiful dps, if they're abilities would stack with the respective class counterpart. This would bring more utility on a vast scale to the raid. Would other classes get pushed out you think?
I bring this up now because the "call stabled pet" ability is getting a CD reduction from 30 min to 5 min. What's the point of doing this? Going from a raid to the BG right away? The wolf is the only thing to bring to the raid right now, it seems and we don't need a 5 min CD on the call stabled pet for it.

You mean abilities like
Stampede
that dont stack or even compare to
Trauma
and
Mangle
?

I'm talking about the stat debuffs that pets put on targets, not the damage. Like wasp sting with FF and curse of weakness.
I didn't know that the dot debuffs got overwritten.

DoTs don't you can have cat Rake and Druid Rake on at the same time.
Other debuffs, such as the 25% more bleed damage, don't stack.

True, but they
should
stack (other dubuffs). I don't understand why Blizz has decided to have pet debuffs overwritten by the class counterpart.

same reason class buffs/debuffs are overwritten by other class' buffs/debuffs
in case a class is missing you aren't royally screwed and running a gimped group
it's the bring the player not the class philosophy and it works
most everyone can do it but some do it slightly better, hunters shouldn't be the latter making them the almighty debuff class
admittedly short duration buffs/debuffs should remain on the target rather than being purged by a more powerful one as they're just that, short durations and overlapping them may not yield and additional benefit but it will ensure said short duration buff/debuff stays on the target
