This is not a case of our site not updating--this is because we use Blizzard APIs and the APIs will not update until the Armory updates. This is sometimes instantly or sometimes on Tuesdays, it depends on how the Armory is behaving. Sorry for the inconvenience :)

Quest tracker seems to be working flawlessly for me, perhaps the problem is on your end?

Your reply is illogical and does not follow my statement.
So, it is on your end. Up to you to do the work to correct the issue.
Quest tracker seems to be working flawlessly for me, perhaps the problem is on your end?
I'm not sure if it is still the case but here is a
quote from Ashelia
back in February of this year:
<snip> the APIs we have from Blizzard are unreliable. For example, over a dozen Borean Tundra quests don't show as complete for various people and we can't fix that. So this could lead to a lot of broken information.
Just a quick update, as you can see Blizzard's API doesn't even seem to have data on the 2 quests listed in the first post
when checking they return the following which is why even though you have completed them the profiler still shows them as incomplete.
{"status":"nok", "reason": "unable to get quest information."}
"I TAKE Candle!"
EU
/
US
Coastal Menace
EU
/
US
So, it is on your end. Up to you to do the work to correct the issue. The only people who can fix this are Blizzard's employees who work on the API.

Your site is not updating or there is incorrectness / bug in your site.
Why? Because if your reply had merit. Then I should not be able to do other quests, log off, and have those new ones done show up and credit on my profile and from blizzard. Yet these, long since complete, Still count as not credited. Forward me to the proper script command to run and I can also show the quest as completed.
So, it is on your end. Up to you to do the work to correct the issue.
There is always a loss of tone in written media. The tone I get from this reply is incredibly cold and demanding.
I would suggest you try and be a little more appreciative of what is offered and a little less hostile when dealing with the short comings of the profile and its interactions with Blizzards APIs.

i'm not sure what you mean by "ran update", but i wanted to clarify that the only information used in the profiler on the website that comes from the wowhead client application is for the archaeology projects. everything else comes from blizzard's battle.net website, and thus wowhead cannot compensate for incorrect information. in addition to the many bugs with the quests completed information, there are major issues with titles obtained and some companion pets that never show as being learned. these problems have been reported to blizzard, but fixing the website information is not high in their priority list of tasks.

Hi Felhunter,
thanks for the tip! Installed it and it seems to do the job. By the way is it not using the same API that wowhead claims to be broken? Dubious ;)
Thanks again
An addon like that has more power since it is running while you are logged into the game and can querry more information.
Cheers,
Hat

It's not using the APIs
, it is manually gathering the data :) We switched to using those so people would not have to have our client installed and deal with errors that come with addon installation; it's possible that we may revisit it in the future, but it made sense at the time to switch to the APIs as they were new and by Blizzard. Unfortunately they do not seem to fix bugs in those, as pets and quests collected have had the same errors for nearly a year now (seagull pet, I'm looking at you).
