If they are DvDRom, you need a DvD drive in your computer. Other than that, update drivers.

Frankly it could be any number of things.

From what you told us, it sounds like dirty or scratched discs. But considering the limited information that's actually available, I'm going to say it could still be other problems.

Just download the game...
Its a pain, and it takes a long time, but just set it up before you go to bed and when you wake up, there will be tasty WoW goodness for you to enjoy.
And in a lot of cases, you have to download less patches. If I tried to reinstall from my original 5 year old CDs right now I'd basically have to re-download the entire game via patches anyway.

And now another question, can i download WotLK? That's the only expansion I don't have the discs for.
When it comes to WoW, you can download anything you've ever activated.
Actually, as far as I know, you can download anything regardless of having purchased it. You can't play without an account and you can't have an account without having purchased it, so downloading the entire client is free.
