In short, what you want is for us to pug with people and teach them how you're supposed to do things?
Say so, instead of writing many silly replies.

Scenario:
Someone posts a thread, then proceeds to personally make 5 of the 8 replies to it, and they're nearly unreadable replies to boot.
FritzTheCat reports it as spam.

Request to lock the thread denied. Give the OP a chance to finish his thought. And to the OP, as you may have noticed, this isn't the best way to start a thread. Compose your ideas first and
then
post.

Wouldn't it have been more useful to post one post with all 3 examples *and* your rebuttal instead of spamming it across 5 posts...for no reason whatsoever?

I didn't read all of the thread, but I disagree with the idea of some not to PuG... I am a good player, if I took myself out of the pool of PuGers, those remaining PuGers would be worse off. Anyways, PuGing is how you meet new players and bolster the size of your guild, unless you steal from other raid guilds (which I find absolutely dirty).

Puging can lead to good surprises. Puging very often lead to bad surprises.
I play for my own fun, and have my own notions of what having fun means in WoW. In particular, i find it more fun to play with competent and respectfull people who know how to clear an instance rapidly, or are able to tackle on some more complex challenges. I don't find it fun to have to explain basic stuff to people (as in "stuff they should've learned 40 levels ago", not things pertaining to the specific instance we're doing), fear ninja's, people who afk without warning, and whatever general stupidity and ^&*!@#baggery might happen.
Thus i mostly remove myself from that pool (only exception being VoA 10 and Archavon 25). I'm losing a bit on this (potential to meet great people) and am gaining a lot (no frustration from all the stupids you can find inpugs).
Does this turn against me in the long run as you are saying ? I don't think so since those people i don't educate while levelling i won't meet in 5 man instances or in raids either.
Is it egoistic ? Certainly, but as i said i play for my enjoyment. I do derive enjoyment from making stuff with the peoples in my guild and that's enough for me.
Is it bad for the guild in the long run ? That's a difficult question and probably worth another debate. I don't think so (in my guilds case, ie a raiding guild with only ~40 people) because there are several types of guilds/players who will look for and find what it is that they are seeking at a specific point in time. Smart players will learn fast by themselves, on forums or with a few pointers IG and won't need to be fully educated by others. Some people will enter a levelling guild that doesn't raid or whatever, and at some point leave it in order to find a guild that does raid. I don't condone guilds actively stealing members from "less advanced" ones (whatever that means) but it's clear that individual player's aspiration evolve and that what they'll be looking for in a guild will change too. Therefore i think that the pool of players applying to raiding guilds isn't really impacted by me puging or not.

I had a long thought of stop puging voa after a little incident. To keep it short, the paladin tank didn't know how to taunt and we wiped.
Though there are good experiences and feelings of achieving something with a pug. Did another voa few weeks ago, we were struggling with emalon. We brought down a good strat and after 2 wipes we got him :D
