Paladins and the curse of the Worgen

Why can't the playable Worgen be paladins? I do have some notes on the matter and some of this may be answered in the expansion but I figured I'd ask if anyone had any ideas.
All, of the Worgen that are playable were humans of Gilnaes
The only difference between the Worgen and Human classes is that Worgen have Druids and Humans have Paladins (since Humans can get Hunters now).
The only reason the Forsaken cannot be Paladins is that Paladins were immune to the plague of undeath (but then all Paladins later killed were ressurected as Death Knights).
Is it possible that there were no Paladins in Gilnaes? Could Paladins be immune to the curse of the Worgen? Did the Worgen Druids become Druids before or after they were cursed? Were any Paladins afflicted by the curse become Druids somehow?

My only semi-logical explanation would be that no Paladin would want to remain in Gilneas after Graymane decided to close & lock the gate, barring anyone from entering or exiting his kingdom. Figures they left, being all good and pious. Or if not, the curse may be negating their access to the Light.

Actually, I think they just all bubbled-hearthed to some unknown location, and will return with Kael'thas as their leader.
After all, the curse of the Worgen was merely a set back.

IIRC Paladins only came to be in the Second War. And it was after the said war that the Greymane wall was erected. So perhaps all of the Paladins from Gilnaes were abandoned outside of the wall. Too late to return and so they abandoned their nation.

or it could be that no paladins were from Gilneas to begin with.

I'd quote it again, but I think a third time would stop being funny and start being irriating.

I'm pretty sure if a human paladin was afflicted by the worgen curse they'd be all
"No! This is not pure! I will not let myself become one of those unholy creatures. Therefore I will be heroic and kill myself."
So mebbe that's why no worgen pallies.Suicide is a mortal sin in Catholicism, which is partly what the Light is based on.

Good thing I know my sense of humour is horrible, or that comment might have hurt.

Edit: At the preview discussion panel at Blizzcon, it was stated that Worgen shadow priests were too cool looking to pass up.
Draenei and Blood Elf females in Shadowform. That is all.

As a possibility on Shadow vs. Light: Maybe there ARE paladins in Gilneas. They just remained normal humans?

Yeah, their cure curse or clense or whatever, they were immune to the plague of undeath, so why not be immune to the worgen curse?
