ah, but see. warrior tanks need to take some hits to build rage, revenge, shield damage, any number of things.
so too much dodge will actually slow down your dps and your threat.

25 men geared druids have plenty more than 25%, more like 40% unbuffed and 45~50 fully raid buffed. But i think the OP excluded druids from this topic, he just didnt state it clearly.
I wonder how high would my dodge go if i would exchange my origin of nightmares for the furious gladiators greatstaff, which has like 120 more agility, lol.
Hmm, one of the best equipped non-druid tanks i know (well, remotely),
Ciderhelm
, has 20,22% dodge unbuffed. How much do the raid buffs add to warriors?

One thing you guys are forgetting about: diminishing returns.
You can have 105% dodge rating, but you'll still get hit after your first dodges
That's why the best thing is to balance between avoidance stats and other absorb-type (stamina/armor) stats - you have quite a few ways to avoid an attack to share diminishing with, and when you get hit you can take a hit or two moreI don't think avoidance DR works the way you think it does.

Armory isn't working correctly and isn't showing talent information. He has 25.22% dodge with his talents. I have anywhere from 24% dodge in my normal threat gear up to around 26.5% in my mitigation/avoidance gear. Unfortunately I logged out in my weird Heroic Threat set, so I can't give you solid numbers.

You do not understand how diminishing returns on avoidance work.

Oh, thanks a lot for the information about Armory. I did wonder why the numbers there seem so odd at pretty much all characters, but i never researched it. (Because come on, i am a druid, the armory will never show my actual tanking stats :) )

Conversely, paladin and warrior tanks need to be def capped, need shield block and block value, and parry. If they stacked only dodge, they would be screwed in other other stats and overall their performance would diminish.
All this talk about "stacking dodge" is so silly. The only thing you have control over is Gems and Enchants. You take the gear the comes, and whether it has dodge or parry or defense or block; it has what it has. You aren't going to say "I'm going to wear this helm because it has XX parry on it." You are going to say "I'm going to wear this helm because it has a higher item level, more strength and stamina, and more overall avoidance."
As a tank, you can NOT make a conscious decision to "stack" dodge or "stack" parry, unless you are referring to putting +16 dodge or +16 parry gems into every one of your sockets (which no one does).
The reason you don't see non-druid tanks with more than ~25% dodge and ~20% parry? You get the avoidance that comes with the gear, plus a little bit here from defense enchants and a little bit there from 8dodge/12stam gems in a couple red sockets. There just isn't any more avoidance on the gear.
Stamina is better to gem than Dodge/Parry (except for using a combo to hit a socket bonus), and everyone knows that. I have roughly 9-10 sockets. I could put 160 more dodge rating in there, but I'd be losing around 2500 health. Using just rough equivalency, 160 dodge rating is worth about 130 stamina, not the 240 stamina I'd be losing.

My friend's 25 man geared prot warrior has the same amount of dodge, less parry, and only a bit more block than my heroic/10 man geared than my tank.
higher level gear provides other stats such as hit, expertise, stam, and str. my warrior has had 540 def since is was in 80 blues. i've got mostly epics now, but my threat generation is much better and my health is higher.
