I'll make this quick, I am somewhat tired...
I am not sure if I can/will complete my "History of Azeroth" blog. At all, or anytime soon. I thought about writing a Lore-based blog about one of the races - Earthen was my idea. That's all half-relevant though.
The question is - what kind of Lorebook do you want to see?

Heh, the solving of the mystery: What came first, the Titans or the Old Gods?
Seriously though, the Earthen is a good choice.

I think the most beneficial would be one that goes into detail explaining everything that happens in the books or comics that isn't represented (or only partly represented) in-game. There's a lot of us here who don't have access to them.
Don't know how that would work though, just bouncing ideas off you.

Relevance - Needs to have that.
To write something that has no meaning to the events of Azeroth isn't something I usually like to read (aside from the usual sci-fi bits, thats just entertainment), if I want to read about lore, I usually hope its something that "enlightens" me on something knew and something that would perhaps even change the way I look at view in lore.
Earthern are definitely up there.

Perhaps a blog on the breakdown of how each race is generally governed, their political past et cetera? It's quite an ignored topic, and could clarify more about the races in general.
This could also be expanded to looking at the workings of Faction, not just racial, politics.

Well, I know this isn't really a lorebook idea, but it sort of is.
I've wanted to see something looking at the inspiration behind the races for quite some time. Like, what ideas Blizzard draws upon from history, fantasy fiction, all that stuff, as a muse for the various races and civilizations.
I started writing something to that effect awhile back, but I sort of just let it fizzle... haven't touched it in weeks.

I mean more of like, where the race first appeared in fantasy fiction, what their culture is like when compared to our cultures, architecture, religion, the whole works.

The Scourge, Lich King, or anything relating to those two.

, that was my motivation to do the "history" project. Truth to be told, the idea came to being a
long
time ago (soon after Ulduar was released), and with all the new information from Halls of Lightning/Stone, and now the Old God, and the story of the Keepers... I kind of wanted to learn more about the Earthen. But by learning more about them, I needed to learn more about the events surrounding their creation - so I had to learn more about the history. Destabilization in the subterran matrix, from there to high-stress environments, to Old Gods, to the war with the Titans, to the Maelstrom... you see how my little fascination with the Tribunal of Ages grew up to quite an ambitious project...

, I might do that a little later on. Frankly, I am not in the mood of doing exactly this. But it's a cool idea.
I might end up doing something about the real world archetypes in WoW (kind of like
Nordic Northrend
), but about a different area.
Politics... I think it's a cool idea, but I am not sure I can do it. I've always dreaded dealing with politics...

A speculation blog? Warcraft lore got many holes that could become new discussions.
Maybe a "Where'd they go?" type thing. There are quite a few characters that are absent from the game, and really have no explanation as to where they currently are. Some of them are more minor than others, and would be more likely to be dead than anything else, but it could still be cool in my opinion.
Turalyon, Alleria, Sergeant, Dagren the Orcslayer, Fenris the Hunter, etc.

The thing about WoWWiki articles is that they tend to be long, full of info you don't need to get the essentials, and often lack info (well, they don't lack it, but linking to a different page is a distraction). And there are some things that are actually hard to find on a single page, or even several pages there.
I've never been really good with speculations...

Well, I stand by my original idea. It's the only thing I've been able to come up with lately that isn't really speculation. Also, with Queggs doing the Giants of Lore, I'm not really sure on what exactly we contribute with lore-based ideas, other than stuff like Histories.
