This macro is 263 characters, anyone know any way it can be shortened to within the 255 char limit without changing the functionality? The idea is to cast Blood Tap and Runic Healing Potion only when Vampiric Blood is used.
#showtooltip Bronze Drake;Frost Presence;Horn of Winter;Vampiric Blood
/use Blood Tap
/use Bronze Drake;Frost Presence;Horn of Winter;Vampiric Blood
/use Runic Healing Potion
I use the Nostromo N52 and have to cram all my abilities into the keys on its keypad, hence pretty much everything is macro'd together like this. Not sure if I've missed any tricks for using less characters, appreciate any pointers.

Remove all the "", because I believe that's implied? 7x4 = 28 chars saved.

@cudgel: is not implied. What is implied is more ... or in short, whatever is pressed or not. In this case, it is required to prevent the use of BT/VB and potion when you hold a modifier.
Try this
#showtooltip Vampiric Blood
/use Bronze Drake; Frost Presence; Horn of Winter; Blood Tap
/use Vampiric Blood
/use Runic Healing Potion

Just a pointer, I think /use Vampiric BloodShould be first, since it increases healing taken.

No. Check every spell before posting :P

(Blood Tap isn't healing, but using it first will ensure there is a blood rune available)
#showtooltip Vampiric Blood
/use Bronze Drake;Frost Presence;Horn of Winter;Blood Tap
/use Vampiric Blood
/use Runic Healing PotionI eliminated the neccesity of modifying the showtooltip line much by simply moving VB and BT down one line.

Yeah, i noticed it after I posted it. But didnt had time to switch it back before leaving for cegep (had to bring sister to hospital and pick up a friend) and i was about to edit it now that i have access to a computer :P

I think Wiki was confusing
Blood Tap
with
Rune Tap
Verrrrrry different powers. One hurts you and activates a blood rune, while the other USES a blood rune and heals you.

Thanks for saving my ass... Sorry for the confusion I might have caused.

Thanks Wild and Red, very clever rearrangings. However, tried both but it they still only show Vampiric Blood in the tooltip, the ctrl/alt/shift mods still just show a red ?. Any ideas?

Hmn...try this for the first line:
/showtooltip ;
That should give it the default behavior on a mod, and VB without a mod.

Unfortunately the showtooltip's parsing is stupid and doesn't do that. You'd have to include the long showtooltip, but it's still below 255 chars.

#showtooltip
/use Bronze Drake; Frost Presence; Horn of Winter; Blood Tap
/use Vampiric Blood
/use Runic Healing Potion
would work with mods, but when you do not hold a mod, it would show BT instead of VB. If you want it just to see the cooldown, it would be ok because both have 1min cooldown.
