marks rotation goes a bit smoother if you use killshot>chimera>arcane>aimed>steady since chimera and arcane timers fall together so smoothly and arcane is better damage per mana then aimed shot (though slightly less damage)
getting 1 or 2 more arcanes during the fight and 1 or 2 less aimeds might save some
once you are getting low on mana, switch the rotation slightly so it's chimera>aimed>arcane>steady>steady>steady>chimera>arcane>aimed and be in viper for the steady shots.
Once I'm below half mana I start looking for long cooldown breaks in the instant shots where i can hop into viper for a couple steady shots then back to dragonhawk for the instants.
Also, of course, make sure you have mana for rapid fire and bloodlusts. You should know before the fight when the BL will be (optimal is about 1 min in for a straight dps...situational obviously)
If you want maybe make a /cast !Aspect of the Viper /cast Steady Shot type macro for when you are low and put /cast !Aspect of the Dragonhawk in front of all the instant casts.
last but not least...mana pots...I use em all the time and so do alot of other classes...if you are on a serious encounter with dps races, you gotta open the purse strings =)

you can think of both glyphs chimera and aimed as taking the same amount of time of their shots' cooldowns since both are 10s and the soonest you can actually shoot them again (assuming you fill all GCDs) is 10.5
Chimera with the glyph can now be fired every 9s and aimed shot with the glyph can now be fired every 9s. That being said, how can you select for aimed over chimera?
Glyph of Chimera Shot gives about 1 extra chimera per minute
Glyph of Serpent Sting adds about 400 more damage to each of those chimeras
no brainers for MM specs...the third glyph can be a few things (kill shot, steady shot, hawk aspect)

When you have one shot that is greatly superior to the others (Chimera) wouldn't you want to fire that shot as much as possible?
More Chimeras should be >> more Aimed

if you have arcane shot come up at the same time as aimed shot, and decide to shoot arcane each time instead of aimed, over time you will fire more arcanes than aimeds
As it happens, if you use chimera>arcane>aimed, you will never have all three shots come up at the same time (assuming chimera glyph) and you will have fired a few more arcanes and a few less aimeds at the end. If you have a bad rotation, but still fill every GCD, you end up firing more steady shots then instant shots, so it's important to make things fall together smoothly.
Because of the way chimera and arcane fit so nicely, aimed shot's cooldown will never be less then 9s even tho the glyph lets it be 8s unless you screwed something up or had to run around (which happens alot) when you were supposed to be on a steady shot. If you have both glyphs (aimed and chimera) you can do this:
chim>arc>aimed>steady>steady>arc>chim>steady>aimed>arc>stead>steady>repeat
which is nice, but really hard to pull off when you have to be on the move. Aimed shot doesn't really have the umf to warrant a CD decrease from a glyph so i'd actually recommend something else, even though this rotation looks so nice.
