Intensity would be around 25-30 mp5 raidbuffed, which ain't awful, and the points in Improved Insect Swarm really aren't doing much for your DPS.
Beyond that, are you hitting Intensity on cooldown? It's a pretty huge mana boost.

Did you mean Innervate?

I used
this
spec when I hit 80 until I had decent gear and mana wasn't a problem.
Note: It works great for mana regen, but you do lose some dps. It does decent dps and you will hardly run oom given that you are Naxx ready. Once my gear picked up I respeced but until then this spec did wonders.
Hope this helps

Took typhoon for the AoE and without FF not a problem since it didn't take long to get better gear. Its a manakin build, nothing else. You can make changes as you see fit but I thought since without GW typhoon would be better than IS. I just need to clarify the hit you need to run heroics is not high, its easy to come buy without the need of FF.
My armory is not updated atm since my account is offline but used this spec till I had full i200 set then dropped spec for better dps spec.

Insect Swarm is a pretty great spell. Especially if you're worried about DPM, which any Manakin build obviously is.
On the other hand, Moonglow/Imp. Moonfire are not good talents at all. No reason to have both maxxed.

Personally, even right as I hit 80 I didn't need so much mana that 3/3 moonglow was worth it.
I probably wouldn't go past
this
(OOC, 3/3 intensity, 2/3 dreamstate, 1/3 moonglow for progression only) even for max mana regen.
IS and IFF are pretty much requirements. IFF is especially useful for a new 80 because of the 3% hit.
If I did feel the need to pick up 3/3 dreamstate I'd pull the point from typhon as it's benefits are debatable.

Imp moonfire is one of the best talents to have maxed out. MF should be on the target nearly 100% for the idol proc so you might as well buff it.

OP, imp IS gives +3% to wrath which is nice but in all actuality wrath will account for ~30-35% of your dps, 3% of 30-35% is 0.9-1.05%, ~1-1.05% dps boost isn't worth sacrificing talents that would keep you from going oom and generating 0 dps
it's a bit better for proccing lunar eclipses but with enough crit that's hardly a problem
not as amazing as it portrays itself huh
drop imp IS, top off intensity and put 2 more in dreamstate
you can pull 2 from moonglow to top off imp moonfire and more than make up the dps loss without a severe impact on mana consumption
as stated above you may not be using innervate in a timely manner
i tend to promote a
54/0/13+4 build
the last 4 should first go into intensity as needed
followed by dreamstate if mana regen is further needed
followed by gale winds for more aoe or imp IS for more single target dps
the last 2 glyghs are between starfall, focus, IS, starfire, or innervate
as you're probably running heroics and naxx quite a bit you may enjoy starfall+focus as they boost an ability that's both single and aoe but innervate will take priority till your mana issues are resolved
I'm absolutely against glyphing out of tyhoon's knockback, in an aoe situation you would use hurricane over typhoon meaning typhoon is left for oh *!@# moments/pvp/soloing/gimmicks and glyphing out of the knockback makes it near pointless to spec into it aside from heavy movement fights

The only conclusion I could come to is that it translates into higher dps bc my mana would regen faster, and therefore I wouldn't go OOM as easily.
Rawr, by default, attempts to model both burst DPS and sustained DPS. If you're sorting by "overall" you may see some things with MP5 on them be upgrades for you because of the sustained DPS portion. If you look at the bars you should be able to see the distinction (red for burst, blue for sustained). You can also choose to sort directly by burst DPS, which is what I tend to do. That will force Rawr to focus on what we traditionally consider DPS items (SP, Haste, Crit stuff) and disregard more of the MP5 and sustained stuff.
Generally speaking, in theory, yes that could be a DPS increase, but really your mana regen should be coming naturally without having to focus on it, via higher intellect (for mana regen from replenishment/crits in moonkin form) on higher ilevel pieces, and from your talent spec.
