First, having no staple glyphs gives warrior a more custom fit. Ex. Hamstring
Second, duels should not be meaning as much. Ya, my warrior gets slammed by paladins, and it's very upsetting... However, if you do arena it's a different story. On my shaman we almost never try to down the warrior first. A warrior's defensive abilities triumph over paladins in arena. Movement and stance dancing is huge for warriors, learn them both well.

you can slice the pally like a knife through warm butter.
I always thought it was the knife that was warm, not the butter...
why do either of them have to be warm?

Have you ever tried cutting cold butter?

Have you ever tried cutting cold butter? This. Seriously, go grab a knife and a cold stick of butter. Cut off a chunk from the end. Stick it in the microwave for about ten seconds, then cut it again. See the difference.
You guys are really overthinking this; it's just a saying.
As for those of you complaining about pally bubbles, you seem to have forgotten about that move that Blizz gave warriors to stop all the QQ about warriors always losing to pallies with their bubble.
That leaves them with LoH and wings. LoH is once every 20 minutes guys, I think you can handle that; not to mention it's affected by MS's -50% debuff. With wings you can hamstring 'em and wait it out till it ends or someone spell steals/dispels it (assuming you're in a BG).
All in all, I think warriors should fare pretty well versus pallies nowadays.
