'Natural" is a bad way to put things.
It completely depends on you and your culture's beliefs. In modern western society, monogamy is the way to do things. I don't believe in being in having to be with one person throughout your entire life, but I do believe in being with one and only one person at a time.
That may have been written poorly, but I mean that you shouldn't force yourself into exclusively being with one person in your life. If you no longer find yourself attracted to that person, then you shouldnt maintain a life/relationship you wouldn't enjoy.
As for society? Good question. I don't really know how it would impact society, aside from taxes and the like. Maybe cause an increase in jealousy issues. "You love your other wife more than me!" type of things.

Technically no.
"Love" supposedly lasts around 3 years, which is enough time to rear a child to an age old enough to not need a father.
But Monogamy definately has many many benefits

Monogomy is scientifically proven to be more conducive to the prevention of diseases. This fact holds true when applied to an entire society.
