Depends on who your other healers are. Build up some synergy with them, figure out what works with them, and you're golden. Honestly, unless the raid leader is a healer himself, he shouldn't be assigning healers.
For example, I run with a resto druid and a holy paladin, with myself as a discipline priest. Typically, it's me tossing shields and penances on the tank, the holy paladin focusing on the tank a bit more, while the resto druid and I heal raid. (Typically mainly the resto druid, few fights require me to actually focus on raid healing in any way.)
I prioritize the tank though.
The nice thing about discipline is that while it's more SUITED for tank healing, it's able to effectively save lives if used at the right times.
EDIT: I saw you said "do not use" for greater heal. That's not right. It's not used AS MUCH, but using it after a Borrowed Time is amazing as well. Also, know that penance DOES NOT consume the Borrowed Time buff but receives its effects.
If you don't use Prayer of Mending, well, something is wrong. There's quite a few fights where it's my most effective heal. Prayer of Healing is situational, but very effective in 10 man raids, Divine Hymn is insane for things like XT's tantrum. Binding heal is also situational, but good when you need to keep yourself and the tank alive at the same time, but don't have the Global Cooldowns to do both. Don't forget renew either. Unlike other healing classes, we actually use all of our spells. (Or at least, you should.)
The basic entry level healing "rotation" (Though healing never follows a rotation) is:
PW:S
Prayer of Mending
Penance, flash heal x 3 (Or greater heal x1, flash heal x2, depending on the amounted of damage the tank is taking.)
Renew PW:S whenever you can, try to keep renew rolling, and personally, I use PoM every cooldown, regardless of whether it's bounced or not.

Honestly, when you hit heroics you will learn when and how to use your tools. Using PoH and Divine Hymn are great at certain points, but there are so many good and different times to use it, it would take us an age and a half to explain them all. Healing is a learning curve. As you gear up, you will find those niches when to use certain things.
Mainly, enjoy it. Because healing, i feel can be more of a challenge than any other role in a raid, and discipline is the best spec to do it in.

never on bloodlust, it doesnt stack, if anything, use it after! as it gives a longer period for a caster to keep that number up.
Usually, if you have a nice steady pace of incoming damage to heal, i would give it to the top caster. we have a lot of things as discipline to smooth out damage, so i doubt you will need to use it on yourself

The other note about power infusion, is to make it a macro that yells something to the effect of "<target> has power infusion" so that the dps knows to use either longer or more mana intensive abilities right then. otherwise setting up into that same macro a timer to send you a personal reminder that power infusion is coming off CD will help you to use it as much as you can.
To be honest though, the one time i felt that Power infusion was clutch to win, was when we were doing nax 10, instructor, so the tank and OT are at the crystals, leaving me and a holy priest to do the healing, i was tank, he was raid. For whatever reason he could not keep up the raid healing while i was busy with the understudies, wiped almost 4 times before it hit me to give him the infusion so that he could pop that PoH quickly and cheaply....

The thing I found out about playing a healing priest is that we have so much more options than any other healing class. There's no one spell that we shouldn't use, and every spell we have gives that much more flexibility.
- Greater Heal is great when your target is taking huge damage and your Penance is off-cooldown.
- Divine Hymn is a very powerful AOE healing. Use it when your raid is taking heavy damage, i.e. Black Knight 3rd phase.
- Binding Heal is great in that it allows you to heal yourself without shifting your focus away from your target. Also, it's one of the few healing spells that will not apply the Grace buff, so you can use it to heal your party or raid without removing the Grace stack from your tank.
ETA: I just throw Power Infusion on the highest DPS caster whenever it's up. Since it has such a low cooldown, I can usually use it several times in a fight

There are quite a few addons out there that do generally the same thing so it comes down to personal preference. I'll list some of the popular ones that most people use:
1. Grid - Minimalistic healing addon that after being configured works amazingly well. It is what I have always used to heal. Some use it successfully with another addon called Clique which allows you to 'click heal'.
2. Healbot - Another widely popular healing addon with built in click healing.
3. VuhDo - Yet another frame based healing addon with built in click healing. Has recently become very popular.
4. PoM Tracker - Used to track where your PoM is currently. Useful if you're in a group with other priests.
There are many more addons that could help out while you raid but these are the most vital ones in my opinion. I would recommened you try all of them before you get to 80 (and perhaps a few others you find at addon sites) to see which suits your healing style the best. For me it was Grid. For you it might be Healbot. Just try them out and see

Can someone list some essential add ons for disc healing?
There really are none, beyond being able to pay attention :)
Personally, the only addon that I use that "helps" is Xperl, and all that really helps with is making debuffs easier to see/know what ones are dispellable.

healbot. one-click shielding of anyone in raid, and their box lights up then they have aggro. mending is bound to my scroll wheel, and i just spam that at the tank (whom i am usually targeting).

Holy
Lightwell + Guardian Spirit + CoH + Spirit of Redemption = FTW
Disc is
fantastic
healing, for a
single target
. Use it in Arena or dungeons but not raids.
You don't wanna have to spend the whole raid going F2, Greater Heal, F3, Greater Heal, F4, Greater Heal. If the raid doesn't wipe from constant 3 second cast times, it will wipe when you run oom. And Penance isn't going to help. Sure it might heal for 15k with the first 5k up instantly, but you can glyph it and throw talent points at it and it still has an 8sec CD. That's 3 Greater Heals you've gotta pop while you wait.
Disc is more focused on buffing and shielding, but against an 83 boss, that bubble will be lucky to hold off 2 melee hits with a 15sec debuff to boot.
Sure, you can give it a try, but 99% of the time, holy's gonna be what you want.

i also started to lvl up my 75 lvl priest as discipline and shadow offspec(for doing quests).i have a pala holy but i bored to death to spam fol and holyshock so i turned into tank and i want to heal with my priest cause i find it more funny and interesting to heal as discipline.my question is what kind of gems should i socket.i see a lot of ppl gem spirit everywhere as holy but i have no idea what discipline wants(if there is any difference with holy).and what metagem is better for a discipline.

Early on, I think gemming for Spell power is good for disc. Once your gear starts giving you enough SP to work with though, you'll want to gem for int, I think.
