I have a hard time focusing on one character. ADD or altoholism?

The problem is that I love all of my characters. My favorites are:
80 Death Knight
70 Druid
52 Rogue
24 Hunter
24 Shaman
When I log into the game, I want to play them all. But I can't. But I can't just stick to one and level it for very long because I hear them calling out to me. When I do that, so little gets accomplished.
Believe it or not, the one character I have stuck with the longest is the death knight. I have done more with her than any other character or class that I have. But when I consider all of the hours and hours I have put into her development or even into some of her vanity stuff, to think of doing that again with the druid, and then the rogue, and then the hunter, and lastly the shaman ... that sounds like years taken off of my life.
My current "main" is the shaman. It's the only character I have played for the last week a half. But I logged on Tuesday to get mounts for my other characters and I was immediately drawn to play them all.
I need a doctor.

A shame no one has mentioned Interweaving.
Have 1 character you quest with that's not max level, and have support characters. I.E. Toon 1 has JC/Inscrip. Toon 2 has Herb/Skinning, and Toon 3 has Mining/Enchanting. Toon 1 goes out and quests to get max level, and Toon's 2&3 Funnel production mats to Toon 1.
That way you have to play all 3 as their interconnected. That's what I ended up doing. Not as efficient as having a single character only, but it stopped my altism.

If you steel feel the addiction, then quit WoW for a while, 2 months. Find a hobby, a sport, a girlfriend if you are lucky enough, then to return fresh with no addictions!
Happy playing!
I agree with him ^_^

Dont start any more alts! Stick with the toons you have and just take turns leveling them. Its ok to have alts. Most players do. More alts = more timesink and less devoted to endgame content on main.

What if you don't care about endgame on a "main"?
Thats the sickness that is WoW...that the ONLY thing to do is gear up and this is what everyone "should" do.
I play for fun and have a TON of alts...7 level 80's... I haven't done a heroic in months and am having a blast!
I guess I just love leveling toons. I don't PVP and I don't have time for raids in the evenings.

Hmmm... well mabe I should re-word it.
Have fun playing the way you want to play. If endgame is not a priority, there is no real rush to level any of your toons.

I kinda combine them :D I have a 80 paladin raiding ulduar etc in t8.5 and and a warrior in t7,5ish gear also made from raiding it... then i got a 69 rogue, 64 priest 60 lock 59 mage 52 hunter etc.. I have no problem playing each one of them a little bit^^ Get a main, focus on it.. when you like feel you can't do much without 24more players with you.. level your alt :D

Ohh has this become an alt-oholics not-so-anonymous meeting? (thats been in my sig for a long time haha)
I also have an alt problem One of the roots of it is that the end game stuff can be very time consuming so you know if you only have an hour straight to play youll have to do something else (like run in circles till you find a group for the daily) If you have less than an hour, or know you will have plenty of distractions, It becomes a "why bother" this is when i usually level my alts... then i get addicted to a paticular class/faction zone and level him/her obsessively for a while.
My alts
allaince
80 druid
64 DK
62 pally
61 hunter
31 hunter
dozens of 1-20s spread out across servers (and a few 55ish DKs but those dont count)
Horde
80 Druid
72 rogue
70 DK (with mining/bs leveled haha)
61 shaman
52 Lock
39 mage
35 hunter
and also a ton of low level alts

Well I can only play a toon if I can gear him easily. For example, I haven't been doing anything but raiding on my DK tank until 3.2 hit, now that I got everything I actually need from ToC and all tier gear from badges, I'm likely to idle him between raids.
So I got (alliance):
80 DK tank main
80 pally ret
71 hunter
71 rogue
70 warrior
46 shammy - have been leveling him a bit
and the rest, one class each but all below level 30
On horde:
80 Druid boomkin
58 DK ah-toon
11 lock - have been leveling him too
and a couple of others
I spend way too much time playing :(
