I thought it was just me. I just started raiding, and was doing heroics with a steady group pre-patch. Only difference in my talents was moving three points into T.N.T and after the patch, I noted an increase of at least 300 DPS. We just did OS ten man and I managed to out DPS our mage, which I was always consistently 200 DPS behind, and was top DPS in the raid. I'm Survival, have been since vanilla WoW, currently 5/11/55. I haven't changed anything about my rotation, and didn't notice any change in LnL. I also have been pulling off the tank more often, and need to be using Misdirect every time it's off CD. I'm not sure if I got a stealth buff somewhere in the patch, but I also noted my pet can hold aggro better.
You didn't have T.N.T. in the first place why? No wonder you where behind.
But no I haven't noticed a difference at all after the patch. Only the fact that Lock N Load procs way more often from Black Arrow. In fact from that alone I think my DPS may have slightly increased.

I have noticed an increase as SV on boss fights. I'm getting ALOT more LnL procs and they're more consistent, I can almost prep for when it procs.

Ageed about snake trap. I like how the various trap schools are on separate cooldowns. I like to drop a snake trap and explosive trap at the start of some bosses (like last boss in VH for example).

Hey fellow hunters.
So, are you happy with the new patch?
How's your DPS in raids?
And how you doing in PvP?
My DPS is decreased, like 800 DPS less than normal. I saw Blizz nerfed ES, without saying anything. I see way lower damage dealt by my ES, and way less crit damages with the other shots.
About the LnL procs: I see it up more frequently, but it doesn't change my DPS so much.
I still didn't try PvP out.
What about you?
Gumball
Check your pet to make sure it didnt' get talent points refunded. And check yours too.
Mine is up, mainly due to pet DPS is up (I use a wolf). LnL procs more, too, which increases DPS some. I would say I am un about 100 or so DPS...roughly.

Agreed. I have moved up the damage charts a fair amount, especially in 25 mans. Easy to be above 5K now in many fights.

/sigh...What is it with hunters and instantly calling "NERF" when we see a drop in ES damage?
Here's the patch notes:
1) Traps on separate cooldowns.
2) Kill command CD reduction tied into the BM talent Catlike Reflexes.
3) Lock and Load procs put on a 22 second ICD.
That's it...until they release something telling us otherwise.
My DPS has stayed around the same, although I haven't been able to test it on Patch or Ignis post-patch. I'm surprised though that nobody has brought up the most important change of the patch: the ginormous drop in price for our crafted ammo :D.
(Edited for being caught at my own game, I apologize.)

Well, not all the changes that they make are listed in the patch notes you know. . .
For example, my main raid spec is BM, and Animal handler has been changed from a 5/10% pet expertise to a 5/10% pet ap boost. Now that makes sense, since pet expertise is supposed to be equal to our hit chance now, but I never saw it specifically mentioned in the patch notes.
All that said, my dps has gone up, where as the numbers for the SV hunters in our guild have gone down. However, the SV hunters in my guild are no where near masters of their spec. In fact, they are pretty bad. My dps on my offspec SV (which I only use on Heigan) is significantly lower--but I am not an expert SV, or even a decent one, and my gear is enchanted/gemmed for BM.
Is it possible that increased LnL procs are actually lowering the numbers for those who dont truely master the spec? I am wondering if LnL procs more, and people are just spamming ES when it is available, then concieveably would they be hurting their dps by overwriting the DoT contingent of ES? Just a thought.
I too am insanely excited about 1000 saronite razorheads dropping from 30-45g to 5-7g. I have to be honest, this was a bigger expense for me that repairs, food or flasks when raiding.
In general repairs were about 80-100g a night, flasks 70-100g (depending on how efficent we were with pulling, downing, and looting--casual guilds waste soooo much time!), food was free, but bullets were 100-150g. And that was just using them on bosses!
Edit: the biggest problem I have now is pet aggro. My pet is consistantly riding the top of the aggro meters, with either myself or a retadin. In 5 man H-ToC, the tank actually put vigalance on my pet since I could FD, but my pet was getting 1-shotted before he could use cower when he pulled aggro. He now does 41-45% of my dps (up from 39-42% pre-patch), and it is getting a little silly. I was BM in BC, but my pet only did 35% or so (if I remember correctly). I liked those numbers much better. There is just no way for my pet to drop threat--especially in Naxx trash pulls.

only downside to being able to use these traps is if ur in a fight with a boss u are going to lose alo of dps running over to him to put these down
Sure its not worth running over to drop a trap. I usually lay them once just before a fight. The only other time is for mobs that charge. If theres a possibility that a mob will charge i'll drop a snake trap in front of me.

I checked my ES info thingy and saw that it deals less fire damage. Before the patch it was like 2k fire damage, now it is 1600. Maybe it's just a bug, I don't know.

My DPS has shot up by at least 900. Don't know why, but it has.
