What is your professions? what class are you and spec? (will assume it is easlier to answer your questions if we know this)

Daily quests, definitely. Plus finishing any old quests you have left, the XP-to-gold conversion makes it worth it at 70. Add a bit of primal grinding, and you should be there in a week or two.

Primal grinding does give some gold, but it's harder to find a spot not crowded. Elemental Plateau is always crowded.
Crafting professions also gives some money. I often skin Thick Clefthoof Leather, buy primal earth, then craft
Clefthide Leg Armor
and sell it for a profit. Earth Primal is dirt cheap nowadays.
Then there are rare boe items being dropped by only one mob on a long respawn. Those tend to sell well, up to 700g, but it can be annoying long wait for it to drop.
Completing quests still left also gives nearly the same amount of money as daily quests.
With those things in mind I made all of my money for epic flying mount.

Dailies.
it's true, it may not seem like a lot on a daily basis, but if you add it up over time it's good. if you can do all 10 dailies that's ~ 100-110g plus what you get in drops(pick up EVERYTHING) which will put you up to ~120-130g. Do that every day for two weeks and that's 1600-1800g.
and! probably the most super duper secret when it comes to saving gold...
don't buy anything unless you really really need it!
sure you may have to buy arrows or water, but aside from that, buy nothing else, better yet, craft the arrows and get a mage friend to make water!

Do a AV before each grinding or questing session. A mage will probably summon a refreshment table. I never bough food since 2.3.
It's not much but it's a saving.
