People over complicate the matter. Simply put, gay, straight, bi, or bloody transexual people should all have equal rights. If I want to get married to the male down the road then I should be allowed to. If I wanna marry the women next door then so be it, I should be allowed to (this is obviously if I knew them and they were willing lmao).
Homosexuals, bisexuals, they're still human. They're no less human than you or I, for being straight. They deserve equal rights, everyone does. I don't care what religion you are, governments following religious beliefs is a load of bull and should be stopped.
A religion is a group of people who believe in the same or similar ideals. Not everyone is going to believe in a religion, or the religion you believe in. So why should governments follow religious practices? For any religion? When not everyone is going to agree with those practices?
It's a bunch of bullcrap and they know it, most just don't give a damn (like many politicians). This same belief of mine carries onto race, ethnicity, culture, etc.
You see it all the time, people with different beliefs, different cultures, different nationalities and elasticities, they all get treated differently. I won't name any, I'm sure most of us can name just one race that get less or more rights than another race. Is that fair? Hell no. But the governments don't seem to care and to a lesser extent, neither do the people. Because if we did, we wouldn't be sitting here and simply discussing it. We'd be CHANGING it.
I know it's been said before but WE
ARE
the power. You government, my government, their government, they mean NOTHING. The people in them ARE NOTHING without us. The people need to remember that. The politicians should remember it especially.
My vote can end your career as prime minister, as president, as a leader. It can also start it. We, the people, have more power in one slip of paper then any leader has in their entire body. Some may say corrupt officials can change that, and sure, but out of seven billion people how many are corrupt? A few million? I doubt the majority of people in the world are corrupt (and high up in the food chain of the leadership, such as governmental power).
