I always wondered and this is as good a place as any to ask:
Why haste? Yes, the throughput gain is nice but spellpower will in the end give a higher throughput, right?
The only advantage has over spellpower is that you can better snipe heals and that your heals will be sniped less. But sniping heals only is an issue if you are running with an uncoordinated team or if you are running way too easy content (without enough damage going around so that all healers are busy at all times).
Why would I want to gear for situations like this? Why shouldn't I gear for the really hard fights in which big heals (high spellpower) are needed?

Before I answer this, I really need to address this...again. Say it with me kids:
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "SNIPE HEALING"
. If you are a part of a properly coordinated raid, you're having people "steal" your heals, and for some reason you actually CARE, either you're doing your job wrong or your healing teammates are. If someone heals someone you're targeting, then stopcasting and focus on another target, simple as that (Chain Heal negates the need to retarget, but you get my point).
I really want people to understand that HPS means nothing if you can't keep your team off of the ground, and in today's game where downranking has been eliminated and replenishment has thrown mana management out the window, efficiency above HPS/Overhealing should still take presedence. I'm not wishing for old-game content gameplay to come back, but I really wish this mentality of "topping the charts" would really stay out of the tanking/healing game, that's not our job.

Okay, now with that out of the way, this is why you want to have haste on your gear: quite simply, the vast majority of boss fights in today's end-game requires a TON of movement on your part. It's very rare that you'll get 2.5 seconds to stand in a stationary spot and heal up people, so you need to be able to fire your heal off and get moving again before big green cloud comes and 1-shots you dead. Combine that with the fact that there's plenty of damaging attacks out there that can quickly take your tanks/dps from 100% to 0% if standing in the wrong spot, and you need to be able to quickly react to your situation.
But again, there are two distinct types of healing you do, and haste isn't needed in one of them. If you're single target healing (specifically, tank-healing), you'll want to stack up the SP & Int to make those huge heals come through. If your healing team has to pick up your slack to top your guy off, either you're falling behind or you need to adjust your healing style.
Again, dumbed down laymans terms: Haste makes you cast heals faster, increasing your overall ability to keep people up in case they screw up and land in the black stuff or pull aggro.

Thanks alot for the input!
So basically get rid of my mp5 gems and go for haste? Should i just gem for haste and forget about the socket bonus?
Only if you're not having mana regen issues. Haste will burn through your MP faster since you're throwing more spells, so make sure to find a balance so that you're able to still be an effective healer without having to rely on a Mana Tide every time it's off of CD.
Socket Bonuses = Worthless 80% of the time, gem for your key stat and to keep your Metagem activated.

Yes Balizzm. Forget about the socket bonuses. You should only ever have one blue gem in your gear, and I say go for a
+10 all stats
prismatic.
also...
Your Cloak and Ring2 have +hit on them. Upgrade!
Your ring is a PVP ring. Upgrade! There's a nice one
purchasable with Emblems
.
Your Trinket2 has nice crit, but the proc is only on harmful spells. You shouldn't regularly be doing harmful spells.
Your Relic is very pvp-oriented, you should be mainly chain healing. There's a nice one purchasable with
Emblems of Triumph
or another one purchasable with
Emblems of Conquest
(this one also drops off of Flame Leviathan in 25man Ulduar).
Drop your Glyph of Riptide or your Glyph of Lesser Healing Wave for a
Glyph of Chain Heal,
if you're generally put on raid heals.

While true, when you're transitioning from T8 to T9-T9.5, you want to make sure you've got enough MP5 for your own playstyle. YMMV, but I found that around 325 unbuffed was the sweet spot for me.

I'd actually recommend carrying a stack of each with you at all times in the times you need to switch back and forth depending on what the RL wants from you. Not entirely necessary, but certainly helpful to keep your efficiency up without inconveniencing the rest of the raid.
Are yellow gem's the only ones that offer haste?
Haste is a "yellow gem" stat, meaning that it falls under the "Pure Haste" category in Yellow (you'll identify them as "Quick %GEM%" types). In the hybrid colors, for Green (Blue/Yellow, durr), you'll be looking at "Energized %GEM%," specifically the
Energized Eye of Zul
and in Orange (Red/Yellow), you'll be looking at the
Reckless Ametrine
. If you don't want to use the Nightmare Tear (I personally don't use it just because of waste of pure stats), these two are recommended to activate your Meta.

-Orange will work in either Red or Yellow Sockets
-Green will work in either Blue or Yellow Sockets
- To activate the
Insightful Earthsiege Diamond
, you need to have at least 1 Red, 1 Blue, and 1 Yellow Gem in your equipped gear. While a Nightmare Tear by itself will activate all three, you can use the others listed. Honestly, as a Resto, you shouldn't be using any other Meta Gem than the one listed above.
- I haven't heard of any Meta Gems that require anything beyond the base colors Yellow, Blue, and Red.

I see this all the time. It doesn't really matter. Sure, faster casts make for more mana back via IWS, but you're casting more spells in the same amount of time which means you're still burning mana faster. Haste will always be a mana degenarative kind of stat, IWS just makes this less so.
