Is haste actually any use, as Iv been having a minor argument about haste as I value crit arp and ap over haste whereas he is saying I should be taking as much as i can get but im thinking stacking haste but losing agil ap crit and arp would be rather silly.
I do realise at some point haste wiould become valuable when you get better gear and capped crit and arp but I am only soft arp capped and trying to get to hard cap slowly whilst inproving my other more important (well to me) stats
Correct me if im wrong if would be helpful , I just need to know whos right

EDIT: I dont even remember posting this it doesnt really make sense lol sorry whoever read this looking for something helpful :p

To sum it all up very shortly basically:
More haste = More white attacks = more OoC procs = More dps !
But there's a hitch, haste only becomes a 'gemmable' stat when you meet certain criteria. One of these criteria's is that you have to be either very close to or right on the dot crit capped --75% without silly procs. Once you've obtained that ( Which is terribly hard to obtain btw ) you'd have to make sure your hit / expertise isreasonable . then .. and only then might haste outweigh other stats.

Dot crit cap? I believe you mean yellow attacks crit cap.
And afaik, it's 75% when fully procced (but I don't have any crit proccing trinkets / weapon enchants atm anyways).
Ofc, feel free to correct me

The number I've read, is 73% effective crit on whites: 24% glancing blows, and 3% crit-suppression on bosses (so you actually have 76% critchance, of which 73% can crit, and 3% are un-removable hit).
Haste is pretty far down on the list of how good stats are, but it isn't bad by any means (in the manner that ArP is for enhancement and retris), but should only be gemmed after you are capped on crit/hit/exp and probably ArP as well.
(Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm typing this into the cat guide as well)

O right I reversed it, it's 73% (most likely correct, I'll try and find Aadra's post about this at noon) for WHITE attacks. Yellow attacks keep benefitting from crit until the full 100%

Sorry for my grammar error, wrote that at like 3 am.
I mean to say, right on the dot at 75% .. not 'dot' crit cap :). Sorry for the confusion.
