So...you recommend a valor and conquest gear for someone just entering naxx? How would this person get such emblems and not already have gear thats fit for ulduar?
Who said anything about going to Naxx? Read the Patch notes.
Disclaimer:
This list assumes you are alone in the world, and is simply a base to work off from. It is upto you to tweak things here and there as you see fit in your personal instance exploits.
I take no responsibility for you having 104% unhitability in a 5man when you could of traded 1.6%
for more stamina or strength and your cat explodes because of it.
You kinda should, becasue you did say its an HEROIC paladin guide, but did not leave any space for buffs.
Hold on while I consult my crystal ball.
.....I see your future groups... yes... I see what buffs youll be getting... yesss.....YOURE A WIZARD HARRY....

Hi, 'I told you so.'
Oh, hello.
It's your neighborhood angry Paladin here with a guide for
3.1 pre-Naxx gearing
to become unhittable by raid bosses. Unhittable means that the only time you take damage is through damage spillover from blocks. Magic still hurts, but lucky for us its not nearly as common! :D
I know it says 3.2 in your title, but you should fix this typo, and at least for now mention somewhere in there that many of the items in your guide are currently impossible to get pre-raid.

Exactly, the gear list is a compilation of lvl 200 blues through 226 conquest epics. The title itself says Pre-Naxx, meaning getting the gear before stepping into naxx. If you're going that route why not take the T7 tank chest instead of the blue which is obtainable by emblems? Maybe I'm just not getting the objective of this post and should just delete my comments, but this doesn't make sense to me.

You will already be in the instance for the chest drop getting the ring. The chances the chest will drop well before the T7 chest purchase are high. The upgrade from the blue here to t7 is a small upgrade for the time invested and in comparison to other gear you can buy (aka stats) with the tokens.
After you've gotten most of the token gear, this chest -> t7 is a logical upgrade. But as it is, this is a fast logical upgrade path to get to the stats i outlines to all upcoming lvl 80s.
To put it another way;
T7chest - bluechest < hand+waist+back

Once again, the boots drop in an instance where
two
other pieces of gear will drop. By the time you save money for DeathDealers, you'll have the boots I linked, therefore, they go into the base set.
After, if you want to upgrade, and
if
the prices go down, and
if
youre not spending gold on other things like a flier for your new 80, then go ahead and buy them. Until then, the blues I set up will be optimal.

heres a positive for ya quest, great guide :)
its not much use for me as im a healer not a tank now but the point still stands.
im sure this will help a fair few upcoming new tanks when 3.2 hits :)
oh and people please read the title, its there for a reason :P

I disagree with the boots enchant (should be 22 stamina). While 16 agility is nice, more stamina is more nice ;).

Thanks <3
I could make one for Ret and Holy as well, but it would take more work, as the highest DPS set for ret means you're stealing alot from poor rogues. Same with holy but to a lesser degree from Druids and Priests =[

Then it would be called:
3.2 Prot - Pre Naxx - The Slightly Hittable Heroic Paladin with slightly more HP.
But as I say; please configure to your respective group buffs. =]

Your guide is good it is not optimal. Sorry you are not always right. If you cant afford the boots after a month of dailies and heroics I feel for you. You should add other easily obtained items i.e. crafting shield and boots. Thanks for the time you have spent on this but you need to also value othe peoples additions.
You dont seem to be understanding and Im not going to keep explaining it.
Move along.
Hey I'm just a noob, so I'm asking because I want to learn, but how do you come up with the numbers for the following:
■60% Melee Mitigation
■50% Pure Avoidance
I'm doing the math (dodge, parry, and defense from gear and talents), and it doesn't add up to 50% avoidance.
And I have no clue how you came up with melee mitigation, so please help a brotha to understand.
Melee Mitigation from pure AC is roughly 60%
Avoidance is Talents+Defense(miss)+Parry+Dodge+BaseMiss
