A few questions:
1) Is re-forging (for the crafting professions) implemented yet?
2) Enhance Shaman question: Have you done enough solo questing to have a feel for how your complementary spell-casting is compared to existing? (that is, how is your spell power—good enough that opening with lightning bolts is useful? do you stay in good mana easily just with storm strikes and maybe water shield, etc).
3) Have the larger old-world dungeons been split up (Blackrock depths, Wailing Caverns as examples)? I’d love to do blackrock depths without having to take nap breaks…
4) Anyone played in the upper 50s level range, to see if they’ve smoothed the equipment curve between the old world and Outlands?
5) It was mentioned that most of the zones have more ‘story-like’ quest chains. Does this mean that the Mulgore is no longer a series of “go kill quantity X of creature Y and bring their bloody body parts” quests? To me is was the most bland of the starting zones.
1) Nope, nothing profession related is in yet.
2) You're pretty much independant on mana now as enhancement - we don't have any int on our gear anymore and we get mana on almost every autoattack from that one proc talent which name I can't remember atm. :-P Lava Burst works with maelstrom weapon now so that's pretty much the only spell I use, other than Chain Lightning. I wouldn't bother using a spell with cast time as an opener though. Lava burst damage is awesome by the way, even as enha. :-) With Unleash Elements (15 sec CD) I find myself using basically every GCD, which is an improvement from live...
3) Only instance changes so far would be the addition of quest givers at the start of all of them, and that DM, Scholo and Stratholme have been lowered to ~40-50. Haven't noticed or heard of anything else yet.
4) Can't answer this one - I'm only 36 on my goblin so far.
5) Haven't tried a whole lot of Mulgore since the second quest was bugged back when I tried it, but the starting zone seems like a big improvement. There's a small-scale war going on between the tauren and the razormane over there now. Have to agree that I always thought it was a very bland zone as well though...
All the remade zones I've done so far (Desolace being the one exception) have been amazing in that sense though, especially Stonetalon. It motivates you to complete the zones rather than just mixing questing and instancing to level up as quickly as possible.
@Cheetoz: So far I'm afraid it looks like it will stay the same.

1While the Reforging person is put into the game the reforging itself is broken.
2. can't answer
3. in a nutshell No and yes. If your doing them through LFD then they will be broken down into different sections. they are done like that now.
4. I am playing in the 50s right now. I can't say that they have uped the stuffs power but I will say they have given us alot more quest rewards. Right now I have a full set of 40-50 gear with no dungeon or BOEs equiped. They have also added alot of Blue items as rewards for quest.
5. As to the mulgore question I can't answer it truthfully right yet but I do know what your talking about. I believe they will have fixed that and I will go and find out for you.

My fury warrior just turned 60 and can now dual wield two-handers, but the talent to do the same in the new tree is much deeper, level 69 i think, soooo.... will I just be losing that ability?

If you stop leveling your warrior for several months or however long it takes for Cata to hit the shelves - Yes.

With the great wall being put up at the entrance to the tauren zone, how would an alliance hunter get in to tame a certain pink flamingo? It didn't look like there was any way past it.
Fly over it?
There are striders with the same model in the Southern Barrens now called Deviate Strider.
Yay! Thanks. Do you have to take the blimp out of thunderbluff now by the way? I don't see ANY way through the gate, even for horde. Outside of flight.
Yup, zep's the only way in and out of Thunderbluff now. Makes sense to me since there's a whole army of alliance soldiers right on the other side of the gate. :-P
not really, there's this road up north of mulgore that leads into stonetalon, so it is posible to enter and leave mulgore without flying at all. The place is even marked on the map of mulgore, is called "stonetalon pass" and it allows players to move from mulgore to stonetalon and/or desolace.

@rankorr
Wow, never noticed that. To be fair, I haven't tried leveling a tauren past 2 yet. :-p Sorry for giving false information there.

I've read somewhere that weapon skill ups are going away, can anyone confirm this. Also are they doing that with rogue lockpicking skill ups

Can confirm that both weapon skills and spell ranks(!) are goners. :-D
Afraid I can't say anything about lockpicking though.

A few questions:
Are there currently any signs of Forsaken defeat or are they winning every battle they take part?
What does it actually feel to fly in the old world, like going to let's say, SW and looking at the places you could never see before without hacks?
Is the roof of Sentinel Hill Inn finally repaired?
What are currently the most notable phasing quests?
Is the Horde camp in Darkshore a full quest-hub or is it only there to be destroyed by nelves?
Is it difficult to kill a normal lvl 80-82 mobs in Hyjal/Vashj'ir?
Are there lots of setbacks from classic?

What about from the (north) Barrens to Stonetalon Mountains? From the maps I've seen, it looks like the Southern Barrens reach up to take the road used in Live....is there another direct route, or would you have to go through either the southern Barrens, or through Ashenvale (or to Orgrimar, zepp to Thunder Bluff, then up through Mulgore and the new pass!)
Also thanks for the answers to my previous questions!
you can't go to stonetalon via the north barrens, the entryway is indeed in the south barrens.
the alliance controll the only pass to stonetalon, but the clever taurens crafted a new road high up into the mountains, so you can get to stonetalon via the highpass, and the alliance from the lower pass
alternatively, for the horde there is another way into stonetalon, and that's via Mulgore. and for the alliance and horde alike, there is a third way into stonetalon, wich is a passage way from Ashenvale. (it's excavated by Goblins, but not the horde goblins, so it's safe to use for both factions)

@tahvo, I'm not in the beta, but all of your questions can be answered.
Are there currently any signs of Forsaken defeat or are they winning every battle they take part?
every.single.one.
they won at gilneas, won at southshore, won at andorhal, they are really steamrolling (having val'kyr and flesh giants kinda helps)
What does it actually feel to fly in the old world, like going to let's say, SW and looking at the places you could never see before without hacks?
it feels the same way as flying everywhere else, really the old world is being redone, and BTW looking at many old places from the sky is really weird, for example Elwynn forest has so many high trees that when flying from up high is nigh-imposible to see anything below.
Is the roof of Sentinel Hill Inn finally repaired?
odly no, sentinel hill was reinforced, it has walls now, but the inn still is a POS.
What are currently the most notable phasing quests?
dunno, I'm not in the beta, I can tell you for sure that the goblin starting zone, and worgen starting zone make A HEAVY use of phasing, and are awesome.
for what I can tell, CATA isn't like WOTLK regarding phasing.
back when WOTLK was announced, blizz promised that phasing was gonna play an important part in the world, but in reality, it was only used in the scarlet enclave, dragonblight, a bit in grizzly hills, stormpeaks, icecrown, and that's it.
on CATA that doesn't seem to be the case, I've seen quite a lot of cool quests that use Phasing (both the NPC phasing and the new Terrain phasing) on just about every zone.
Is the Horde camp in Darkshore a full quest-hub or is it only there to be destroyed by nelves?
Dunno, :S most testers who've provided feedback from it are alliance, I need some hordies going in there and show those drow-wanna-be's that we mean business.
Is it difficult to kill a normal lvl 80-82 mobs in Hyjal/Vashj'ir?
it didn't used to be, but aparently they upped the dificulty quite a bit in all the new 5 zones, all mobs had their HP doubled, and have plenty of skills to use.
in the words of ArgentSun (a well geared Prot pally) "I pulled 6 mobs and died. I DIED, I'm a prot pally, we don't "Die" >.< "
so yhea, classes who lack any form of self-healing will have a tough time, and even classes who can heal will have it hard too, mobs are really tough, but not game-breaking tough.
Are there lots of setbacks from classic?
Nefarian and Onyxia :P maybe more, but so far only those 2 have been revealed.

The Forsaken do indeed seem to be on a lengthy winning streak. Not sure if they've lost any battles so far. There's going to be a Blood Elf/Forsaken faction in Uldum though so maybe we'll see them lose there. :-P
Feels pretty cool to fly in the old world - Orgrimmar is beautiful now. Undercity looks cool and all but come on, the city of Lordaeron is WAY bigger than they made it.
Haven't done the Westfall chain yet, but from what I've heard it's amazing. I'm pretty sure the roof gets repaired, but then the entire town gets torched so it burns down again. :-P
Most notable phasing quests would be the Goblin and Worgen starting areas like rankkorr said, but Vashj'ir and Hyjal have some nice phasing as well. Deepholm didn't have a lot of it from what I can remember.
The troll village in Darkshore is from what I've seen purely a quest area for Night Elves. There are no named troll NPCs there (well, maybe one quest mob or something but you get the picture :-P) and there are night elves there who give quests and repair if I recall correctly.
Most mobs in Hyjal and Vashj'ir are 78-80 and very easy to kill. The big jump comes at Deepholm where they have a ton of HP, some very annoying skills (Deathgrip!) and several quests that actually took a few attempts. :-)
Setbacks as in character making cameos? Yes - some examples below so spoiler warning.
Ragnaros himself is back in action in Hyjal, and so are several good characters as well such as Malfurion, Cenarius and Jarod.
Almost the entire cast of Scholomance can be found in WPL, mostly in Andorhal. Darkmaster Gandling, Rattlegore, The Ravenian and Araj (Araj wasn't in Scholo but he was still a vanilla quest NPC related to the area...) are in Andorhal and Instructor Malicia had her own camp somewhere with a bunch of other cultists.
Like rankkorr said, Onyxia and Nefarion are supposedly reanimated in one of the upcoming dungeons or raids.

Setbacks? a lot really, let's see:
-Nefarian and Onyxia coming back as zombies.
-Ragnaros and Baron Gedon returning from the Firelands.
-Sintharia returning also as a half molten zombie it seems.
-Cenarius and a good deal of the Ancients that died in the War of the Ancients also return.
-Hogger (we are doomed) is not dead yet as far as I know.
-And the leaders of the Blackrock clan in Redridge Mountains (at Stonewatch Keep) although they may had not died during Vanilla.
-Cho'gall who didn't die in Anh'qiraj at the hands of Med'an.
Those are the ones I remember so they might be more.
About Darkshore, It might be an Alliance only zone, after all it is the second zone for Night elves. Having forces of the other faction don't necessarily means that they will be quest hubs (there isn't any Alliance side for Silverpine Forest as far as I know and it is full of Worgen and Alliance forces).
