Getting the Lightforged Draenei and Void Elves

I'm really interested in getting these two allied races but I'm really confused with the "You are now prepared" achievement needed to unlock them.

I have a level 45 character, I used Chromie in Stormwind send me to Legion, and I've done everything up until picking my first Artifact weapon. Right now I'm in Azsuna doing quests, but a part of me wonders whether this is necessary for the Argus campaign to trigger.

My question is really whether or not I should stay the course and complete the four areas. If not, what exactly should I be doing?

TL;DR I want to know the fastest way to get LF Draenei and Void Elves.

You need to complete the achievement to unlock them. For both of them, this simply means completing the Argus storyline. Once you've done that, there is a small race specific quest for each of them, and then they're unlocked.

Take a look at the guide for Argus here -> https://www.wowhead.com/comprehensive-argus-guide to get started. It should help you get started.

If you have the time, you should be able to knock it off in one shot. It will take a few hours to complete it all, but it's not particularly difficult to do so.
