This is where it was born.
It is mentioned in like 10 other tanking topics too.
There was also this shield that had a bunch of totally awesome comments, but to my disappointment, they all got deleted. Basically, someone has mistaken that shield for another shield, made by blacksmiths, then someone pointed out that he was mistaken, then someone clarified the previous post, and then it turned out into a billion rephrasals of the "you are mistaking this shield for another shield, which is made by blacksmiths", in a similar fashion to the "longer then average cape".

So I think I found out why people's WoW sounds are delayed.

Seeing three guys solve the rubik's cube in around 30-40 seconds makes me want to get one and learn how to solve it.

Has everyone here ever played
Katamari Damacy
?
I haven't, but it's always seemed like a really goofy and fun game. I've heard the series is actually pretty good.

So I just got the weirdest email ever.
Every place that is starred out is my name, either full or just first name.... The hotmail address is not mine, but it was my name too. BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THESE PEOPLE ARE, NOR HAVE I EVER BEEN TO PANAMA...

>
> Hi and welcome
>
> There are unexpensive direct flights from London to Sharm by Easyjet now. We often take Easyjet from Geneva to Sharm and these are nice flights. Really a bargain.
>
> In Sharm the best value for money is definately Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village (SBU). It's close to the Four Seasons (best resort in Sharm) with the same fantastic views and very nice rooms. SBU's dive center is very well located (inside the hotel) as well, but the price is definately not the same than Four Seasons !
>
> SBU's "Bedouin Village Rooms" are 43 euros per night (total price for 2 people, ie 21.50 per person including breakfast) and are huge and really lovely. "Beach Cabins" are wooden bungalows, much smaller but still OK, and 33 euros per night (idem). Both have A/C. There are also basic "panoramic huts" atop the hill that are even less expensive but may be too "roots". Check on the Net.
>
> SBU have their own jetty very close to the hotel and ive centers (2 minutes walk on the beach!) so you don't have to queue like in many other places in Sharm (eg Travco Jetty where you feel worse than in the tube station !) and that's a BIG advantage.
>
> Also there are 3 diving areas in Sharm, from North to South :
> 1) Tiran Strait (Jackson, Thomas, Woodhouse and Gordon offshore reefs). Mostly excellent dives on those offshore reefs. Beautiful soft corals and pelagics.
> 2) so-called "local divesites" (15 sites eg the Gardens, Tower, Temple ...). On the fringing reef thats stretches along the shore from Travco Jetty (old Sharm) up to Naama Bay and further north. Corals are very damaged and the dives are not very good except Ras Um Sid, Ras Nasrani and especially Ras Gamila.
> 3) Ras Mohammed National Park. About 6 or 7 excellent dive sites, with one named Shark Reef/Yolanda reef that's in the world top-ten (but easy to screw up : current !). More fish in summer but still enjoyable in other seasons (beautiful soft corals).
>
> Bottom line, 1) and 2) are amongst the best places in the Red Sea, better (more colourful) than Marsa Alam and St-John's Reefs in our opinion, even if they are not the fashion now.
>
> Because SBU is north of Sharm, close to the airport, it's very close to Tiran, so they dive mostly in Tiran + Ras Mohammed on full day trip + Ras Gamila and Ras Nasrani only as local dive sites, so normally they won't take you on %^&*ty dives like many resorts from Naama Bay.
>
> SBU is 15 minutes away from Naama Bay by taxi if you want nightlife.
>
> We don't work for SBU (though we dived with them many times as clients), actually we are back to France because I had some serious health problems but it seems to be more or less all right now. We'll go to SBU from 27 november to 11 december 2010 as guests, for our holidays.
>
> Forget about Louxor and the Kings Valley if you are in Sharm. You can do some tourism in the Sinai (monastery Ste-Catherine, hike atop Mount Moses - beware of the surprising coldness there in fall and winter !, visit Coloured Canyon and White Canyon ...) that is way up north (3 hours from Sharm, 2 from Dahab). But that will come at a price, unless you have a lot of time and use buses, cheap accommodation in Bedouin camps in Dahab and Nuweiba, etc.
>
> The diving in Dahab (100 km, 1 hour north of Sharm) is not bad but definately cannot compare with Tiran and Ras Mohammed. Internet forums tend to overrate Dahab in my opinion.
>
> Taba is 3 hours north of Sharm, with diving that is quite common (same applies to Nuweiba ; Dahab is better for diving). There is a fast ferry from Taba to Aqaba (Jordan) which is said to be much more efficient and less time-wasting than the usual ferry from Nuweiba to Taba. Taba is also at the Isaeli border that Europeans can normally cross without too much hassle (I have no personal experience of it though).
