No PvE disc priest should ever be without 3/3 Inspiration. Period. Move your two points from Reflective Shield (a PvP talent only) into Inspiration.
The question about Divine Fury is an ongoing one. Many priests (including me) have it and love it. But the choice is not DF versus Inspiration; it's DF versus some combination of the other Tier 1 and Tier 2 talents (Healing Focus, Improved Renew, Spell Warding).

forget Divine Fury vs Inspiration. Where the hell is meditation? Seriously what are you trying to achieve with that spec of yours? because it really doesn't do you any favors, and thats your holy spec
Your Discipline spec is even worse. 2/5 Holy specialization? no healing focus?
Personally, forget this argument, go look at the stickies here and sort your spec out. Learn more about what each spec does and whats its values are.
Then we can discuss this, but to be brutally honest, if you had done the searching in the first place, this question would have been answered without you even posting.

I agree with Paolo. There is no reason NOT to take Inspiration. It is THE Priest's tank healing spell, while Reflective Shields are completely useless to you as a raider. Remember, the reflection only happens off of YOUR Shield, not when you shield another player. And even then, it isn't your job to help them do damage, it's your job to heal them.
Ditch those points and then add to whatever else may be useful for disc MT healing, Divine Fury isn't a bad Choice if you can use it properly. However, if you are having serious issues with survivability and you're short on talent points at that tier (which you probably would be), take Spell Warding instead. Dead priests do no healing. :-)

oh word. I didn't even look at your spec until just now. There are a great number of things that need to be corrected for in this spec. Please refer to stickies for the most useful and popular specs, and remember, they're most popular because they are the most useful!
oh, and Karl: please be kind. :-) I just had my recent nasty spurt, I guess it's my turn to play mediator.

I disagree on needing healing focus, it was nice while leveling, but as long as a tank does his job no one's gonna be beating up on me so I won't have pushback. If the tank doesn't do his job and I have pushback, well it's still his fault.
Pushback can happen from a number of different things, not just mobs hitting you Halo. If you are a victim of raid wide damage (which I suspect you are, if you're in the raid and healing the tank), then this may be something that will affect you.
As Disco, you'll want that pushback protection because combined with Concentration aura, you get zero pushback, which means that your penance won't get clipped unnecessarily. Doing 1/3 less healing with a penance because you got pushback is clearly not acceptable if you can prevent it.
That being said, you can certainly say, "oh, I'll just keep a bubble on myself the whole time". Which you could and probably already do, but then bubbles don't save you from everything.

considering two people said about your spec, you need to look into it. You have an abudence of mana, but not nearly enough spell power. So gratz on not running OOM in a fight, but kudos on not having your heals hit hard enough. Remember this one word,
Balance.
Learn it, live it, love it.
Any idiot can raid heal, my holy spec is just fine.
I laughed.

Im trying :( but the lack of search is just demoralizing! Anyway, im sending a list of things to try and refine the forum interface a little to the fancy email address i got from upgrading! might post my ideas up to see if you guys like or dislike

Wow, look at this, you were a newb once too.

Remember where you came from!
thats when discipline became raid viable, and the tree looked very different to what is was now! However, the information is here on the forum. People just refuse to do the work themselves.
You don't have to be such an ass all the time, people are really starting to get annoyed with it. -lol-
Cite your sources, please?
The reason im like this is because a lot of hard work and effort when into writing the guides we have here. So many topics have been addressed and were great fun to reply to and debate. But when people come along, post something up that has been address a plentyful amount of times in plentyful amounts of threads, you start to just give up.
Im passionate about the priest. I know that my knowledge is agreed upon by the majority of priests and wowhead readers alike, because they have posted back and said that they have had great results from trying out things.
I will leave it up to you. Either you want help with all aspects of your game, or you just want to know the answer to your question, which would have been answered in those long, and detailed guides we have here.

Hm, looks like you just got burned and wanted the last word there Karl. You were new once too, remember that. You don't have to flame out, Oscar handled my question nicely and professionally, and you need to learn that skill before you can consider yourself a good teacher.
Read the post above you, flame boy.

I'm flattered that you think I'm a "good teacher", but I'd like you also to be a "good student". You should read what many of us are posting here and consider that perhaps you do need a change of some sort, which could be for the better. You might be fine now, but you could be stellar with a few changes!

This guy is making me mad and I'm not even involved in the... whatever you wanna call it. Aggressive debate meets flaming? Who knows. But anyway, the guys are trying to help you out, WHEN YOU ASKED FOR HELP, and then you just turn around and bite them in the ass. Don't bite the hand that feeds you...
And please regem. I love balance and stuff, I'm actually a huge advocate of it, but your gems are unbalanced... in the wrong direction. It's better to gem for pure SP and be unbalanced than to be gemmed for pure mana (With a tiny bit of haste mixed in? What the heck?) and have your heals not even be sufficient for the level of content you should be in. Either decide to be an intellect slave like some discos or be a hybrid like others (my preference) but don't be... whatever you're going for.
And please accept the criticism other than trying to flame when people help you out.

Last I checked the disc stickies are pretty out of date:
"Last edited by Samanosuke on 04/29/2009 – edited 36 times"
The last post on it was May 3. It needs serious updating.
And as far as all this Healing Focus talk goes, I put two points in it back when we were working on Mimi, but have since pulled those points out. I guess it's Wowhead's new flavor of the month for disc, replacing the three points in Renew people recommended on these boards for the longest time. In fact, this is the only site I know of that recommends HF for disc. About the only thing that interrupts my Penance is a tank ranging me while I'm casting. I wish Healing Focus could fix that lol.
Divine Fury is attractive at lower levels of haste, crit, and SP I suppose. I've hit a point though where my FH hits hard and fast enough to easily keep up the tank, so I took Spell Warding as the lesser of all evils.
