As Kael'thas would say: "They were merely a set-back."

Not at all. In fact I think he still remains as strong as he used to be. He's trying to lull us into a false sense of security, believing we can over-take him. All this hooplah about an Argent Tournament and stuff is not really affecting him, it's just probably playing a much greater role in his master plan.
Oh wait, the Wrathgate? Um, element of surprise anyone?
Yeah, cause you can't prepare for something you'd never even expect. Not even Jinjo.

No, I think the Wrathgate actually had some affect on him (forgive me, my lord) but only enough to the point that he and Tirion are on equal ground again.

i dont think its waning yes the wrath gate was a set back but how could he have known the the forsaken could have come up with a plague that could actually hurt him?
he also has to find out a way to combat ashbringer since thats the only weapon that can hurt him(not counting the plague)

THE ICE STONE MELTED!
On serious note, the Lich King lost some of his power during Tirion's Gambit.
Before that, when he seemed to be weaker his powers were just countered with either Supreme Light or the new plague that counters undead
I refuse to belive my master will die! ((what? its the Lore & RPing forums.))

I also think that Arthas is merely lulling us into a sense of security. WoW really fails when to comes to showing Arthas's power, he was stronger then sylvannas when he was still a mere death knight. I think he could probably, take on murdain, sylvannas and tirion at the same time.

The lich king, I believe has been weakened. I say this because of the fact that Tirion destroyed his heart with the ashbringer, however i was unsure wether it hurt the king or just completely destroyed arthas's soul. (I knida rushed reading the lore a little as i was about to ding 80). I have an inkling that Arthas will be the next raid boss and the next raid will be icecrown citadel, so i'm assuming that something will happen between patches that will weaken him to a state that he is killable by a group of adventurers.

The lich king raid is said to be present in 3rd raid introduced. So it is not gonna be next raid.
3.2 raid is most likely gonna be a troll dungeon Gundrak because you do not see the above temple, just the temple part under. The other highly suspected version is that the next raid is Azjol-nerub, the lower part of it. Because we only breached a small part of the city in the 5 man dungeon.

WTB Frostmourne....
But seriously they have to make him weaker otherwise we would all get bored and not want to play.... i mean look at all the other raids, IMO RPing in online games is fun however it cant possibly fit into lore correctly think about it, how sick and tired of dying would the bosses be? how many times do we kill them?
Not to mention how many people have done the quest chain for things like "Ashbringer" its not exactly the most powerfull of weapons yet it can hurt the lich king, not to mention i thought there was only one? Death knights leaving Arthas?
its not the
blade
that has the power to smite down legions of undead
but its the man who wielded the blade

No, not this early, definitely not this early into WotLK. They haven't released enough to even lead up to that.
