So I have a disipline priest.
and i have a resto druid.
I noticed that there spells were kinda similar.
Not because they are healers but because of the effects the talents give there heals.
Im in a pvp realm and i wanted a resto druid that doesnt just heals his enemies to sleep.
Sooo, I made this build and noticed that its kinda like a Disc Priest.
Tell me what you think because I havent tried it out yet.
PS..Notice I Concentrate on Direct heals..not HoTs.
Please! Reply! I need a Second Opinion about this! THNX!
Incase the link isnt working

Your gonna be rocked so hard without HoTs. We don't heal anything at all like Disc priests in pvp. Disc priests are by far the most agressive/offensive healer, whereas resto is by far the most defensive healer. What are you going to do when your exit stunlock with low hp; are you really going to waste more time trying to bait an interrupt, or would you rather get an instant cast off that you know will get off.
Lifebloom is THE pvp heal spell now.

Your not going nowhere without Imp TOL because you have to tank melee damage which is about 50%+ of arena...

Well lets put into consideration that I dont neglect my HoTs and especially not lifebloom are you crazy?
You think if i keep a moonfire and insect swarm on someone i can atleast keep heals up til they die?

Btw I'd most likely be doing 2v2s.
I can manage without Tree of Life In those right?

Eh? Explain. They both have talents that boost their healing spells yes. That is where the similarity ends. Your statement is really amazing. Pretty funny also.

what? Resto druid is an incredibly fun and dynamic playstyle.
If you really want to DPS a bit and still have most of your healing power, try:

And yes you should use tree, and yes you do actualy need to use your HoTs. Making a non-HoT resto build is like making a Holy Paladin build for casting nothing but Holy Shock.
I hope this thread doesn't depress you too much Mujiko. It brought a smile to my face to read. But anyways, your answers are all here now.

hmm that looks like a HoTs version of my build kinda! lol.
Thanx!
I'm confident in my skills.
hell i can tank a crap load of hunters as balance out of moonkin form with my direct heals, I dont see why it would be harder with this spec.
Thnx for your help and opinions if thats what you call it...talk about harsh...damn..arent druids supposed to be piecefull?

Trying to play one class as another, you will always screw yourself over.
You CAN do many things. I can level my priest with no talent points to 80 and smite spam all the way up. Does that make it good? no..
Even in 2v2, unless your just playing 10 games a week for fun you will just get rocked and never progress. You'll get stuck where every bad team gets stuck not because your a bad player, but becuase you are worthlessly gimping yourself.
