Lay on Hands: This ability now places Forbearance on the target and cannot be used on a target with Forbearance.
I love this fix. I feel it still has tremendous utility, and at the very least is probably going to make holy palis higher in demand. Well in the sense that this is going to make it easier to start separating the GOOD palis from the face rollers.
Of the dozens of uses left for lay on hands I see...
You are tanking bosszilla, and an add knocks a chunk out of one of your healers, while he is healing you! blamo save the healer, and yourself, saving the raid...
your the holy pali in the group, your healing the MT but the OT just took a burst, and his healer is jumping out of the fire, blammo, instant mega heal to the OT, without breaking rythem on your heals for the MT, and their healer gets a chance to recover...
the palis that dont do this, will begin to look average, or just plain bad...

Pally tank + pally healer is going to cause problems. Holy pally casts on the tank, and then the tank can't use divine protection when he needs to. No other tanking class has to worry about it, that's what gets me :P
IMO it should only cause forbearance when cast on yourself.

There's no buff to Holy Pallies, therefore, they won't exist higher in demand.
Anyway, you're the fellow @#$%^ing in the PvP forum about how you can't kill 3 pallies in 3v3 because they have bubble, and that how every class/comp should be capable of killing paladins, not just mage/lock/priest, and especially your hunter/dk/shaman comp. I fail to see why we should take any of your thoughts seriously.

See the silver lining?
You mean the one were prot paladins just lost a panic button while warriors still have two, DKs have 3-4 and bears also got two.
Eh we're used to it we've been !@#$ for 3/4 of the game.

Improved Lay on Hands
to be a 20% reduction to all forms of damage to keep tanks "happy-ish". With this build on the PTR, Forbearance should go to the caster, but don't think that the caster won't want to bubble themselves ever Mr. Tankpally. We like to take less damage too, or none at all. Also, we're going to have issues with Divine Sacrifice + Divine Shield as a damage reduction. It's already nerfed in 3.3, but what you're saying would make it even harder to use.
Paladins do have a lot of defensive cooldowns, but that's the nature of the class. Sorry that we're not an easy kill? I don't know what to say. Rogues seem to have more defensive cooldowns nowadays anyways. :[

The only way this nerf should ever get anywhere close to live is if they change Div Prot so it doesn't cause forbearance.

Brique's talking about PvE problems due to PvP nerfs. And who really cares about BGs, where the people getting facerolled are fresh 80s in quest greens in PvE gear?

Lay on Hands: This ability will place Forbearance on the paladin if used on his or herself. It will not place Forbearance on others.

Please learn to read patch notes and notice that a talent required of Holy Paladins will now also have a 33/66/100% chance to not cause Forbearance. However, I'm annoyed. I'm a protadin with 41K health no buffs at all and I STILL find myself using LoH often enough to consider this a respectable nerf to my PvE use and I'll probably be dieing a lot more often which is exactly what Blizzard wants. They want paladins to be as broken as warriors. Unable to do anything if we have no CDs, but mind you warriors have higher base health and more CDs. Lovely isn't it?

actually glyph of shield wall, which is a must have, drops it down to 40% making it inferior to divine protection
pallies have a larger stamina multiplier, higher passive physical and magical damage reduction, higher active physical and magical damage reduction, a better block CD for bosses, a higher threat multiplier, LoH > enraged regeneration, and ardent defender > last stand

So I was tanking Mimron hard mode last night and I got to thinking about these changes. Pallies are going to be in for some trouble if they muck with this too much. My healer puts guardian spirit on my for the first Proton blast, I use DP for the second, and the third I use LoH/AD. The problem with this, is that sometimes my AD goes off during the guardian spirit, so I am really at risk of dying the third proton blast, AND with a 15 mins CD on LoH, I am really in trouble for the next attempt every time.
It's to the point that the raid leaders might want to pull me because I don't have the CDs for this fight as it is. My healer is probably one of the best on the server, and I have about 47-48k health 10 man buffed in my stam gear. I use my scarab during the last proton blast too, giving me a bit over 52k health, along with switching to SoL for extra heals, and I still went down once or twice for that. If AD is up and my LoH is off CD, I can make it, but a 15 min CD doesn't allow me to use enough CDs for the encounter.
On the other hand, droods and warriors ALWAYS have a CD for this encounter.
